correction, kris...being a movie reporter in the late 50's and in the 60's...Nida Blanca was a contract actress sa LVN; at si Nora Aunor, special contract because Tower Production took her and promoted as one of the young loved team with Pip..nora just appeared in Tawag Tanghalan Film; and Nida Blanca just appeared one film with Luis Gonzales sa "Mestisang Bangus"...please make a good research...during our time, three major film companies competing include Sampaguita/Vera Perez Productions; LVN and Premier Production..some small film companies like the Larry Santiago Production when they got Joseph Estrada to lead "Asiong Salonga" with his second wife, Guia Gomez..meron pang Libra Production, Everlasting Production led by Major Ongpauco where :"action pics" featured Celia Fuentes and Johnny Montierro were the leading stars; and FJ Production where FJ had always his leading lady Nova Villa...even the struggling Fred Santos Production was working hard to make films with his popularity contest and whoever won the contest, would become leading man and leading lady ..then Tagalog Ilang llang Production owned by the family of Tony Ferrer; even Nepomuceno Production which produced "Igorota" featuring Charito Solis..the History of the Philippine Movies has many milestones and must be reported properly...ask my contemporary movie reporters like the Dean of Movie Writing, Ethel Ramos, another UST journalist who ventured on movie reporting...

In the 50's we lived around P. Tuason ave. walking distance to LVN Studio i was 4 years old we used to go there Charito Solis was our neighbor leopoldo salcedo and merle tuazon perla baustista you will just see them walking on our street. I remember just me and my friend watching the shooting of Bernard Bonnin action fight in the corner of san gabriel st. and P. Tuazon then they used american tikitiki as a blood in the fight those were the days not a lot of people.
