I was born just after some years later of his death.. Never heard about him.. But being a classical music learner I was searching for the songs in youtube those are based on Darbari Kanara.. Eventually when I clicked for the song 'Dunia ke rakhwale' I was totally astonished by the first look of the actor.. and searched to know who he is.. Eventually I found all the details about him and after watching the movie Baiju Bawra I have developed a huge crush on him.. I must say that I have seen many handsome actors like Rajesh Khanna, Dilip Kumar, Hrittik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor.. But never saw such angel like eyes and smile.. He was looking exactly like a gandhrab of heaven with veena.. There are many handsome men in this world.. But irrespective of time and place he is 'mohan' ..

Yes. Had heard about him & and his downfall in my childhood days. Didn't know that he had produced films. So this the actual truth. People talked that he spent most of his earnings on partying and also helping people in need. That's why he went broke ( दीवाला निकाल गया). I always remembered him as an example of extravagant spendthrift, but wondered why producers never gave him good roles, as he was not the one who shyed away from work, also his films were super duper hits. Bollywood is cruel. He even worked in dramas in Bombay Doordarshan. I have seen them, not much though. Life is always cruel with good & sensitive people. I have always been interested to know about life history's of my favourite personalities. Thank you very much, Tabassumji, for a nice & real life (true) stories of Bollywood.👃 👍👏👏👏

Bharat Bhushan succeeded in becoming a successful actor in his days but its so sad he died without anyone to shoulder his dead body. It's really shocking that a leading actor of yester years had strived so hard for a one time meal, how can the Indian cinema industry so unfair towards an actor who contributed to it with selfishless effort and attracted the audiences to the cinema halls, which paved the way for the producers to make money. Atleast there should be an organization who will pay them as pension when those actors and actresses and others when they need the money to support themselves. Our Indian Cinema industry is the only one who produces hundreds of Indian cinema per year which is a record till date across the globe. So, how can our Indian Cinema industry so unfair towards its star cast and others who toiled and toil themselves for a making a cinema.

He was cheated by his brother. I had the privilege of filming him in one of my films where he was just like an extra, sitting in the car in the driver's seat in long shot. It was painful for me to even shoot that scene,but that's life in the industry. Later I tried to build a corpus for the artist & technicians so that in the later stage of life they should not be dependent on mercy of others ,but that was not to be. I lost the election and the next person who was installed in my place as President, he embezzled 37 Lakhs from the kitty that we had collected. No one came forward to side me when I filed a case against him in the labour court and no further action was taken in the matter. He just said "SORRY" and his team pardoned him,he never returned the money.

You tried your best.salute to you.you completed your duty.once a qawwali was to be recorded in the recording room,sahir sb.also reached to see,he observed that a person sitting outside the studio in hot atmosphere and paying salute to everyone.And that person was MASTER NESAR the popular actor of his time ,After seeing this sahir sb.was fired on chopra brothers and briefed his history.Master nesar was called to shoot for small role in qawwali.After harsh reaction of sahir sb.chopra brothers apologized for the same and immediately called him with due regards.later on sahir sb.lifted him,he was too happy like that person who sits first time in the motor car.Despite that master nesar was the owner of the Rolls royce. Sahir desired to go at his residence but he ignored,because he was residing in a jhhuggi.sahir sb.was well aware about the nature of industry so he was too harsh for them,he compelled all producers,directors to surrender before his conditions.

I know that when JUBILEE STAR OF INDIAN SCREEN, the Great Rajendra kumar came to know that Bharat Bhushan is in trouble n badly want to sell his last bungalow, then he purchased that bungalow at a price, higher than market, just to help him out. Please Remember that at that time, RAJENDRA kumar was already having 2 bungalows with him n he didn't need any more. But just to bail out bharat Bhushan from trouble, he purchased by paying extra price intentionally. Later on, same third bungalow, RAJENDRA kumar sold to Rajesh Khanna on his repeated request. So life is like that. Very strange.

In south Indian film industry there is very strong association for film actors and technicians. There should be similar for Hindi film industry too werein technicians and deserving actors can be helped out in time of need. They can just approach such associations instead of waiting for help from individuals. Recently actor like AK Hangal faced financial crises for medical help. When the lived with dignity give them some dignity in end times.

This is Bollywood, koyi kisi a saga nahin. Bharat Bhooshan was such a great actor, a Filmfare winner, so sad he died penniless. He used to own houses and posh cars with a huge library at home. A cruel blow of passing time. He should not have listened to his brother but that was date. It’s 28 years to his death this month, I still remember Baiju Bawara, Barsaat ki Raat. Dooj Ka Chand. Life can be cruel and Bharat Bhooshan is one example. 😢

I introduced Bharat ji when i was in class 4. My parents were fond of old Hindi movies, at that time VCR was very in. So one day through Beju Bavra I knew him. A very sad end told by you, made me think that we should not pay heed to these type of relationships that bring us to ground from the height of goodness .God bless him
