This is a good observation of a deep situation, not visible to many necked eyes. It is right there in front of us to discern it. This verses is not about a story; but it shows an encounter between Jesus and a young man, whom was possessed by his possession. The man is sincere and looking forward with urgent desire to receive spiritual healing. He rejected Jesus, or did he? Unless we keep reading the book of Mark 14: 51-52.

I am doing a study about the rich young ruler. I have kinda just read past it before because I'm not rich, I am not young, and I am not a ruler. However, I KNOW there is something lacking, and I am pretty sure that keeping the commandments isn't going to fill that void. I'm sharing this because I am looking for more resources regarding the rich young ruler, so if you can suggest any, please reply !!! Thanks in advance .

@@bartwfielder WOW! Thank you for the link ! It's confirming even more that I am like the rich young ruler( even though I don't have great possessions or lots of property). I think one of the key factors is that he had much religion, but he lacked KNOWING Jesus. However, he couldn't KNOW Jesus until he abandon his idols. His foundation was his idols ( as is mine). The hard part is letting go of what you have known and been holding onto.
