In Nevada at Silver City, the first prospectors there complained that washing the gold was difficult as a blue clay clogged the pans. One prospector sent a sample to his brother who was an assayer, he came straight out and within a week they shipped a wagon with six thousand pounds of silver. The blue clay was silver and the deposit is now known as the Comstock.

This looks like another Yerranderie which was a Silver Deposit in NSW. Close-by was the Kowmung River Gold Field.All locked up in the Burragorang,Warragamba Catchment Area now.
