We're kinda of one, but had different political and social culture, and sometimes borrowed from each other even masquerades and cultural dance. Igbos is only unique because of the system of government where power was decentralized and rested on the council of elders just like the Hebrews and the Greeks. (You must have heard that "Igbos has no King"). This senses of independence and self determination in governance is why the colonial masters are scared of the Igbos up till this day because if Africans understand the importance of grassroot governing structure that can be united into a larger entity, but based on agreement/alliance, it'll be easy to control our resources out of the hands of our own people who are not working for our interest and we will rapid developement automatically.
