They are safeguarding it as if you can get a fully built awakened out of it, not just a mere copy, and it is old awakened too, that most players either have built or will never build at this point, it is just ridiculous.

I tried to do the Rickety Cart trick but right after I get a 4-star Ascended and a Elite+ Wu Kong, it suddent got removed on the Labyrinth Shop 😕

You can only get extra copies of Flora and Wu Kong from events, they disappear from the shop after you get them to 5 stars, in order for people to not exploit this exchange feature, I guess.
