i'd just like to add that as an astrologer, reading your chart or even just showing someone your chart, is like giving them the keys to your most private parts of your life. this video can be applied to astrology as well, which i think some people forget is indeed a reading. i've been able to see people's most darkest traumas from a glance at their chart, so know who you're trusting it with. sure it's fun to show off when all you know are the signs, but people can use it against you if you're not careful. this is a great video though and an important reminder! thank you ladyspeech

Ugh, thank you as always for your guidance! I’ve been getting into tarot reading for myself and my family for the past year or so and I’m really loving it. I’ve been wanting to find a good reader to start seeing myself and this is exactly what my fear is: that I may be taken advantage of because of my emotional willingness to go along with it. I want to be a reader for the good of others but have to first experience a great reader who will hold my experiences, secrets, feelings or what have you with care. It’s a scary concept to be on the lookout knowing there are so many wolves in sheep’s clothing out there. 😮‍💨

My experience with Tarot and readings in general - 1) I have been practicing and doing my own readings and giving readings for others for about 3 years now 2) I have had readings that were very instrumental in moving forward 3) I limit the readings I get to people I know personally , vibe well with in online communities, or to those I feel drawn to at wellness fairs that give readings. When you talked about how as a medium the tarot facilitates a conversation with the person's spiritual team especially their ancestors - I felt a nudge and it got me to thinking about how I'm building relationship with deities (currently doing an intensive to build relationship with The Morrigan) and what is lacking within my spiritual team is to build strong relationship with my ancestors. yes please and thank you for this one. maybe also some green flags for folks to be on the look out for as well? i've had a few readers in my past, and they were all vetted by mutuals who knew their business. who would send someone on to someone who would be a better fit either personality wise or type of reader, *without* making it weird. all of them had a brief interview beforehand that was related to had i had this type of reading done previously, expectations and boundaries. informed consent for all the things

I eventually want to become a tarot reader for others, and I am -never- going to slide into someone's DM's to solicit reading offers. If I'm sliding into DMs it's to converse. I have a LOT more practicing to do before I do it for anyone besides myself (I've only got about 2 years under my belt at this point). I'm going into Spiritual Life Coaching first, too! Growing up in the era of TV Psychics on talk shows.... I'm never going to accept an unsolicited DM. Internet research is easier than cold reading!
