Yes it really was the safer choice especially we didn't know the roads at all and we were just relying on the GPS. Iceland was already so expensive! So we wanted to save on some things like food and tours cause those we knew we could do ourselves. Thank you so much for the positive reinforcement!!

If you wants some advice: you need that gimbal. Its hard on my eyes to try to look at moving objects that are moving whilst the camera is moving. Never talk over each other. Take turns at talking. My eldest sister is guilty of that and I used to do it also. Its bad habit. Learn active listening. I learn things from other peoples videos. Keeping the camera still is one of them. Put your camera on a tripod sometimes. Also put lens hood on I noticed "sun flare" on my own videos and yours also. I'm just starting out. Omg there is so much to learn that its actually daunting.😆 I had my lens at widest aperature which needed to be at f22. I need to edit my videos. Thats a steep learning curve. I need a book on Premiere Pro. Maybe I'll get an older book to learn the basics like colour grading etc. I set up my camera for a flat profile but now I'm confronted with the fact that I need to color grade the footage. Sigh. @12:02 nice sunset 😍✌😮👍 @9:36 I like this because its funny. Humour is good. 😂👍 Gimbal sigh not much you can do if its broken. Smooth footage is important. Jerking the camera up and down isn't good. Its a basic mistake many youtubers make. I was thinking would a wide angle lens it might make all the difference? Hint hint 😉😂 16~35mm GMaster. I guess thats why Kara and Nate use it. **Endorsment** lol Oh boy ! Am I looking at a lot of work. I noticed in my own video footage its hard to control blown out over exposed skys. I'm thinking now I'll get some filters. ND. UV. Polarizing etc. I've seen what gels can do. By dialing down the kelvins to maybe 2300 it dramatically improves the look of the sky. By adding an orange gel to a flash the subject also looks a lot better also. At least in stills. Personally I prefer the most famous waterfall because visually its amazing. There are some thing we as viewers cant experience and thats the reality of the water falls. Its obviously much more exciting to be there watching the power of the water as it tumbles down over the cliff. Something a viewer cant feel. Anyway good video all the same. 👍😊
@CherryandTrevor4 жыл бұрын
We used the gimbal!..but not for the whole videos! We tend to get lazy sometimes but when we see the footage with the gimbalbused, it is so much smoother! Like when Trevor was hiking down to the first waterfall. Yeah we're trying to clean up talking over each other. We noticed that too! We use a Hoya Variable ND filter and the lens hood won't attach when the filter is on the lens. We will definitely try to vlog with the gimbal as much as possible! I don't know about the 1635GM right now, it's just so damn expensive!...maybe in the future we'll get it or by then hopefully Sony makes a new, lighter, less expensive (I highly doubt that) version!
@theothistledon69354 жыл бұрын
@@CherryandTrevor 1. Yes that gimbal shouldn't be underestimated. Yeah I guess its tiring to lug around a camera on a gimbal. *See end comment.* 2. Oh I see now regarding the lens flare. I'll get some of those Hoya ND, UV and polarizing filters maybe even a magenta filter after I work out what it does. Still the price is expensive when its appears to just be colored glass. 3. Okay I wont nagg you anymore regarding the 16~35mm 2.8 Gmaster. I wish I had bought it instead of my 24mm GM f1.4. I guess build quality cost money and the extra blades to improve the smooth bokeh and also the extra lens elements, coatings and other things to improve the overal image quality. It also has a better focussing system I believe which my 85mm doesn't have. **maybe your not lazy** Maybe its lack of nourishment thats the issue. I think you'll discover lack of food is the problem. I cant empathize enough that hot dogs just dont cut it. 😂🤣😆 I dont know why you haven't banned me. Im lashing you about your diet still its a cloud with a silver lining. Ha ha 😊😉 Try this breakfast tommorow. A cup of oats Berries strawberries, blueberries, bannanas, (organic if possible) Seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, flaxseeds) Almond or oat milk try to avoid lots of additives and sugar. Raw honey. Make sure your drinking enough clean water. No coke Cherry 😂 No chips either those trans fats are no good for you. Dont forget about micronutrients they're essential part of your diet and they must never be underestimated as to how much they provide in terms of their ability to convert carbs to glycogen which is used for energy. If your not eating the right type of food your going to feel tired (can't hold gimbal for extended lengths of time) irritable, miserable, sleepy etc. So yeah, never skimp on food because even if you do manage to get away earlier you'll pay for it walking up those mountains. What you gain at the start you lose along the way. Also your just going to be hungry with cravings, you wont feel like doing anything without sufficient nourishment for the job. So yeah eat a nourishing and sustaining breakfast and drink enough water with real juice. Sugar will give you a high initially but then the journey to the bottom will leaving you feeling dead. Your bodies insulin levels will rise reducing that high sugar level. Thats why we eat complex carbs to get a sustained amount of glycogen not highs followed by lows. Also with this COVID-19 virus more than ever you need to be eating right. I'll give you a break maybe. Its getting a little crazy with this amount of comments. 😂👍 Still I like responding cause I learn more. Thank you for all your responses.😊👍❤
@CherryandTrevor4 жыл бұрын
@@theothistledon6935 we'll try to vlog as much as possible with the gimbal. Oh that Sony 24mm GM is a beautiful lens but would be boarder line tight for vlogging especially trying to fit both of us at once in the frame. This vlog we used the crop lens Sigma 16mm which is equivalent to 24mm full frame and you can see we barely fit in the frame. We have the Hoya polarizer! Makes a nice difference especially for photos. We will definitely try that breakfast, it sounds delicious and energizing!
@CherryandTrevor4 жыл бұрын
@@theothistledon6935 but definitely for video you should get a quality variable ND filter so you can keep your shutter at the 180 rule👍 Have a look at the Tamron 17-28mm. Lots of reviews/tests claim it is sharper than the 16-35GM in the center!
@theothistledon69354 жыл бұрын
@@CherryandTrevor ... with the gimbal. Okay yeah its much smother less jerky. I noticed that before Steady Shot was turned on. I 😂👍 Oh that 24mm GM ... To be honest im not that excited about it. Its okay I guess but I think the 16~35mm f1.4 is what I should have bought instead. I know your 6500 is a crop sensor but surely both of you can fit inside the field of vision on a 16mm ??? I guess you must be right because thats what you used in that vlogg. Thats one of the reasons why I bought the full frame. I hate noise in digital photos. Thats why I always look at a phones pixel width. Thats why I bought the Sammy 12MP sensored phone camera. High resolution is nice in brightly lit scenes but as soon as afternoon arrives or night shots you get noise and the image falls apart. Not good. "We have the Hoya polarizer filter ..." I'll be getting one soon after some more research.😮👍 Well let me know how you feel after eating that breakfast that I suggested you try. 😊 Yaaa for Trevor & Cherry! 😂👍❤ ha ha
