Pomu’s stream was heartbreaking. She was sobbing uncontrollably. But I feel like everything ended up working out for the best. One thing I can say about GYARI, he might not have been the greatest manager but he created an amazing place for Pikamee to discover her own talent and voice and grow as an entertainer to be where she is today. Arigatou, GYARI-san!

i never really watched her, but i knew a guy who loved her so when he was upset, i felt that, even if its not as strong as he did, i felt his pain as he rambled to me. she never really appealed to me but this girl was about the most inoffensive thing ever, i'll always be wondering if her retiring was truly something she was feeling like doing due, or if everything was just the last straw.

After her graduation, I am left worrying on what will this make for the future of VOMS with Pikamee longer around to see things through anymore. I'm afraid that the group might go through a decline in its fame and would then be disbanded unless GYARI comes up with something that would keep it strong, like adding new members somewhere in the future for example like how we got Miuneru and Ryugon. I'm even setting up a support community that could help them still succeed in their current condition and I'm currently looking for members that could help out. I'm sure that we could #expandVOMS to help give them a better tomorrow and also hope for the best in Pikamee's future.
@tiersonshideaway Жыл бұрын
I was wondering the same thing myself. Pikamee was the largest member.
@AO968 Жыл бұрын
I'm not so sure about that. VOMS was never meant to become as big as they eventually became. Given that they've just finished auditions for a new member, I think the group will remain for quite a while. But, with their biggest talent now gone, unless this new talent has most of the characteristics Pika had (multilingual, bubbly personality and similarly relatable), the group will go on as a smaller, semi-independent agency. I think GYARI can be proud of what he's achieved with his pet project. From a small, close group of gamers to one that would be named with the big names on occasion. Even if it's growth will stagnate from here on, they had good, 3-year run, and all because he found a girl, who was more than he could ever ask for (and, given her appearance, wasn't judgmental).
@DinnerForkTongue Жыл бұрын
@@AO968 This. Pikame *_massively_* outgrew the scope of VOMS, and if some rumours are to be believed, it was the lack of resources for what she wanted to do that made her choose to graduate and seek another company. Otherwise, Henya wouldn't have Gyari on her friends list. Would we appreciate another English speaker to watch and chatter with in VOMS? Absolutely. Is it vitally necessary? Not really.

I will say that I didn't even know about Pikamee until I heard some independent content creators speak about the HWL controversy. I was sadden that she was graduating under those circumstances. I started watching some of her streams and clips from there on out. For Pikamee's sake we do need to move on. That is what she asked of us. But let us never forget that a certain "community" harassed and chased after her and other VTubers. Because of this, we need to be vigilant and defend other VTubers from such harassment. I was absolutely devastated when she announced her graduation and like a lot of people assumed it was from the harassment she received. I was extremely bitter and angry and depressed after her graduation. This video really helped clear up a lot of things, with the news that she planned to graduate before the harassment and her final tweet. This video really gave me a sense of peace with her graduation and hope for her in the future and I am extremely grateful I subscribed

It wasn't the so called ''trans community'' that went after streamers and youtubers but their so called Allys that went after creators for their own validation of being ''morally right''. There were actually a lot more trans peps that were against that display of hate, vocalize being against it so it won't be viewed like the ''trans community'' was the one behind it or responsible for it...

No, she had made her decision to leave Voms and join vshojo MONTHS before she graduated. I have to clarify, because people are stupid, that that is NOT a defense of the a-holes that harassed her. But the narrative that she was forced to graduate because of the a-holes is a load of sh1t, used by another group of a-holes as justification for their own bigotry.

Don’t blame an entire group of people for the actions of worthless filth. If you are going to blame someone and target them, target the ones who actually did this. Their Tweets and comments are not exactly hard to find. They didn’t exactly cover their tracks. It not that hard to find the trash who harassed her and supported it. I normally feel that your videos are very accurate and percise, but this one misses the mark. I feel like you undersold the issues people have with JK Rowling in an effort to sound "apolitical." JK Rowling isn't "anti-trans," she is an active advocate for our imprisonment and erasure, to the point where she sides with nazis and even the taliban. also, the harassment was double sided: people called out pikamee for financially supporting someone who is, at this point, a politician, and in response pikamee's fans sent death threats and harmful messages to random transgender people who weren't even inolved. The reason pikamee left (or was forced to leave) wasn't because she was harassed into leaving, it was because her managment didn't have the foresight to tell her not to play a political game. It's honestly not even that good, and really is just some loser's way to be anti semitic and make sixty bucks doing so. anyways, otherwise it's a really good video! i just wish you had put more energy into understanding why people were upset. (though tbh, i never saw anyone be actually upset enough to send hate, but that could've just been me)
@tiersonshideaway Жыл бұрын
I do agree that this video was kind of a miss. In retrospect, I let myself get a bit nervous. Politics tends to be filled with hateful people on both sides of the aisle, and I don't want any of what both sides dish out, for myself or this channel, so I kept everything vague. And from what we know, Pikamee's graduation was decided long before the Harry Potter announcement, so it likely only sped up the graduation.
@pierre4145 Жыл бұрын
@@tiersonshideaway i promise that i understand. too many people get over excited when it comes to mistakes, because it can be hard to gauge who's genuinely making a mistake, and who's actually got hateful intent. i will say that the video was a lot better than i was scared it was going to be :^) I'm transgender myself, and it is... unfortunately common to see people go from "hmm... a lot of trans people have an issue with someone i like" -> "all trans people HATE my favorite person EVER" -> "all trans people should PAY FOR THIS!!!! WITH THEIR LIVES!!!!" so . at least there wasn't any of that haha

"The reason pikamee left (or was forced to leave) wasn't because she was harassed into leaving, it was because her managment didn't have the foresight to tell her not to play a political game" How was GYARI supposed to know that this game would cause such an uproar? Pika was the only person in VOMS, who was fluent in English, and even she had no clue that this game was so loaded, because she didn't really pay attention to western sociopolitical developments (and still doesn't), because she's Japanese first and foremost. If she didn't know, how was he supposed to know? To her, this was just a game like any other, and anyone, who claims otherwise is a liar. Besides, was it _really_ necessary for those involved to light their hair on fire and scream bloody murder over this game? Their beef should be with J.K. Rowling, not anyone else. Is it _really_ that hard to leave people alone?
@pierre41459 ай бұрын
@@AO968 bro wrote the entire declaration of independence on behalf of a production company dawg 😭 it's their JOB to prevent their people from doing dumb shit, and they didn't look into a game that could cause controversy, plain and simple. "western sociopolitical developments" 🤓 bro... like it or not USAmerican politics does effect the rest of the world. they get USA news out there because we have the strongest military force in the world, so it's in their country's best interest to keep themselves and their people in tune with our standards. I'm not saying that's fair, I'm just saying that's how it is, for better or (usually) for worse. Also, breaking news, but there's trans people in japan as well- and it's not about some old geezer bitch. It's about where that money given to her goes. I'm not a Japanese transgender person, but I think it's safe to say they might not like people funding their illegalization and the limitation of their human rights. Sorry to tell you this, but when mistakes are made, consequences come of them.
