I miss prime krunker... was so fun playing that game, idk what happened to it, I recently played a few games, they added a minimap for some reason and some new maps which I don't really like... didn't really get to see the old maps that I love as well :( I wish this game would use all of its potential, the movement and the gunplay are top notch

Man, this video just hits different now. Krunker will always have a special place in my heart. I was addicted to this game for 2 years during COVID and had some of the best times of my life playing this game while chilling with my mates in a voice call for hours. I remember grinding KR for weeks, getting inspired by your trading videos to trade, or trying to build my own map. The first video I ever posted was on krunker. I remember bunking online class just to play this game. I remember being AFK on twitch to get the first twitch drops. I remember Lava Run, Arena, Trade Hub. Krunker was my childhood PC game. Love your work Kashy, thanks for this.

this video... start to finish... genuinely hurt. i almost cried, and it left me in a state of just... wow. i can't believe just a simple, silly blocked game evoked so much thought and reflection out of me, in one of the best chapters of my life growing up. i remember starting online school just as the game began to get some kind of player base (2018) and it wholly became the only game i regularly played just because of how accessible it was to play. my only online friend at the time and i played this until they disappeared sometime in 2019, and that's when i found out that this game had an entire community behind it with the discord server being introduced to me right before the pandemic. through this, i found love with the game again as i had made so many friends, through the game, through the server, finding people with interests in these places outside of krunker, and still being relatively close with them to this day. the pandemic hit, the game had a creative explosion with so many new custom maps, introduced me to so many more friends, things to do when playing in the server vc's, and, funny enough, my first romantic interest too when the pandemic wound down, a lot of people left the game, including myself for a while. i came back around 2022, and the game was still relatively playable, but it was just the same old game. no real content updates, i got bored rather quickly, especially since by that time i was an adult, and was finally able to buy myself a computer that could play other games. i'll never forget the memories made playing the game, teaching my then-estranged brother how to play it during the pandemic, skin trading, market arguing with the sharks and whales of krunker, and all the people truly near and dear to my heart, in the over 200+ levels ive attained through my main accounts and silly little joke alts, this game holds a very special place in my heart. truly, one of the games ever.

Found you through one of my friends music videos, that some people found themselves watching because it was an ad from Krunker. I had no idea what Krunker was, I searched it on KZbin and saw your video. I chose to watch it because it was an explanation but I also became interested in it’s life and wanted to know more about it. Your video helped me vicariously live through this. Surviv's downfall was similar- the devs handed ownership to a big publisher, they filled it with microtransactions, and down it went. Krunkers death really isn't surprising.

I know I'm a little late but thank you so much for putting this video out there. Its so cool to see everyone come together in the comments to share their memories and love for the game. It's crazy how it seems like so many of us had the same amazing experiences in the game. I still hop on every once in awhile but it will never be the same. I miss seeing the same people in pubs, I miss the fun maps (parkour,trading maps, zombies, etc.) I miss the late night pub stomping sessions, the endless trading adventures, the comp scene. Krunker really got me through Covid Lockdowns. No one will recognize me on this acc but I spend so many hours/months building Clan communities. I was getting 50/70 live viewers on my first stream and hit 2 double nukes Live which was hype. I even tried to set up a tournament to give people something fun to do when FaceIt dissapeared. However my clan / community started to die off when content creators started quitting(and the game started dying out Post-Faceit) so I was only able to raise 50,000 KR for the tourney which is kinda a lot from 0 for purely donations but it wasn't enough to get people hyped or joining the tourney. To rub salt on the wound by the time I set it up everyone in my clan either left or got banned by KPD(I made sure no one hacked in my comp team's and tested each individual's skills). The people who dono KR quit and did not want the KR back so I gave it to a random streamer (who quit shortly after) Idk if anyone will read this. this is my rant/story i guess. I really miss the game. The community more than anything tbh, I always tried to bring positivity to the game where I could. So sad to see it go the way it did... R.I.P. Edit: oh yeah and thanks Kashy for entertaining us too

Really great video! It covers all the things. I've played this game off and on for years now. I quit at some point and came back with a fresh start after my accs were hacked. It was a great game and kinda still is. I enjoy it less because most of the ppl i really spent time with in game quit. Its still addicting asf tho. Im trying to move to different games but it just doesnt feel right. Thanks for always bringing great content to the game! On a side note u forgot to mention the minimap and the readding of the halloween event (with different drops) and the mag dump event (no idea what that was but it was fun). amazing video. it's such a shame to see krunker just... gone. i started playing in very late season 3 and i got so attached to the game, reaching lvl 240+ on my main. it had so much potential, but it was ruined by a greedy company and laziness. i'm still grateful for all the great times and to sid and tehchy for the game and Vince and his team for all the amazing skins that pushed me to play the game this much. this game had a truly unique vision, and had really unique and beautiful items. o7 i'll miss it

Im so sad for this. I remember playing during covjd and getting scammed during trading unlocming cool ass knives playing as a tryhard watching frosstywolf even taking time to watch pro gameplay. The community parkour maps were amazing but now its just a distant memory i wish the best to every player. It does go to show that none kf the items we had were worth 0 but the community made it. Krunker made waves through my high school back in like 2019-2021. Somehow it wasnt blocked by our schools wifi so we would just play it on our cheap chromebooks with *touch pads*. It was honestly so fun to just hide out in a closet or a storage room somewhere and just trash talk the other team with 4 of your buddies. It was a real epidemic but man was it fun.

I remember in v1.2.1, Kivoka (known as Friendship at the time), accidentally DMd me an invite to a scrim game. That's how I originally started lol. This video was a trip to see w/ all of the old custom maps I had loved at the time. I'm glad you did an awesome job at accurately portraying the history of Krunker. Krunker really used to be the only game id really play. Used ro be a huge gamer but when i started playing krunker in 2019 no other game felt as good even the triple A tittles i saw less interesting then krunker. Used to play it every single day. I got scouts mastery i almost got smg mastery. Lvl 99 rn. I traded up to an intervention XI i was KPD i got so much fun met so many good people on this game. I watched the krunker twitch a lot like when i was sick and stuff. I really hoped FRVR was a good update but it just dissapointed me. Leading to me quitting the game even tho it was so damn hard to let krunker go. I build so many memories from it w my friends we used to play it so much. Its sad its over....

I would like to add that I believe one of the 3rd party clients logged username and passwords (supposedly some big content creators as well) and users have lost their accounts and completely been hacked. Account recovery wouldn't work as it is a yendis e-mail that is not used anymore.

Faze was compensated by Sidney to play & promote. Them & Keemstar wanted to buy the game for a ridiculous low price and have total ownership, in which Yendis didn't see eye to eye on. Keemstar made a twitter post about this at the time, saying that an unknown game developer team didn't take his advice, and recognize his potential, so now he's going to watch the game die.

Wow Insane video got back to krunker 2 weeks ago. I stopped playing around in early 2023 but ive been playing for quite sometime. I used to play moomoo at the begenning of covid but a friend told me to play krunker i played it was a zombie map and i played for a few hours. I kept playing moomoo. But one day I wanted to play krunker and I was hooked I stopped playign but when faceit came I played 24/7. Now im just playing cause of nostolgia hope that krunker becomes great again.

I really miss Krunker. I was one of the og players playing in season 1 and season 2 and I was a comp player for like a year or so and I have to say Krunker was my favorite game I remember playing the game after I get out of school and stuff watching streamers play made me want to play more the game had alright content at the time when I was playing I was playing the game everyday 24/7 and dropping nukes at the time was a surprise to me and I only quit because I got banned from comp randomly and I still dabbled in Krunker a little dropping nukes here and there but never really played the game that much I just left the game and I thought Krunker was doing pretty good after I left and after I installed a krunker client LAF and see how its going there was no krunker streamers streaming the game was dead I don't even think my region even had like 200 players playing no one was playing the custom games all because FRVR decided to say "hey lets make this game a facebook game with no sliding and you have to pay for skins" I really do feel bad for the old team, the team that started all, and now all of them have left. Idk about Sidney though, but dang how a great, really great game that had so much potential fell because of 1 company, no content, and no content creators.

not gonna lie but the devs just ghosted on the community's opinions after season 5. they didnt really listen about server issues and weapon imbalance. there were many issues with cheaters aswell it was in 2023 when krunker central youtube surpassed krunker's official youtube which was obvs not good. cheaters have always been a problem for browser games and are annoying but there was not much they can do about it.

I started playing krunker in April 2021. My time with this game was an awesome but also very weird experience. I joined just shortly after its peak and it only got worse from that point. Witnessing the downfall of something I didn't witness rising. In my later months with krunker I focused more on the mapping scene cause I had lost hope on pubs. A skill gap too big, too many lags and cheaters. Eventually, I got disappointed with the mapping scene too and having nothing left connecting me with krunker, I left in September 2022.

DAm man this hour was worth it, i see when i played for the first time krunker it was awesome i didnt saw any problems the streamers and comunity were unique but after the years i saw very much things happening like trading, skins, new settings etc. Now in 2023 the game was going down but i literally played the most in that year, it was good to play krunker with yall (ty kashy)

It was sad dude, it was such a fall off, I had a week where I was streaming to 200 people a day, then I kept getting ddosed every stream through the game, I got promised a skin/spray in a game and it never happened, nothing but hackers 24/7, etc etc. I couldnt do it anymore

A very well-researched and entertaining documentary. Thank you for your service to the Krunker community. I could only find one minor aspect that I disagree with. As the person who's played more charge rifle than anyone else on the planet (lvl 147 infiltrator), I wouldn't say that it's an outright bad weapon as much as one that requires excessive amounts of practice to use effectively, and even then it would need 20 more HP to compete with the current meta weapons. This doesn't invalidate your point, though, since it was still terrible in terms of providing easily accessible content that the majority of players would find engaging.
