Plus he had muscle with Omar's strengths (tactical movement, discretion) and they did not have his weaknesses (losing focus after Butchie was killed). Well, Chris did have that weakness (lost focus killing Mike's stepdad)

Marlo was one of my personal favorite characters in the show. He’s shrouded in so much mystery and I loved how he carried himself, saying little to nothing but controlling every conversation and scene he’s in. He was a very intriguing character. Also I want to add, Marlo doesn’t have the crown, he just has the position. He’s a smart pawn that made it to the other side of the board. But the King stays the King. Avon still has the crown, as we see in season 5.
