At the beginning of the show Deku is deemed is worthless because he is disabled. Then they make him not disabled and say he has worth now and he can achieve his dream, and after he is disabled again he is deemed worthless again. So he has to be a teacher for people who are deemed better than him at his dream. The moral of this story was supposed to be ¨you can be a hero even without a quirk¨ but it ended up being ¨you cant be a hero without a quirk.¨ Very inspiring indeed. This shows message even if unintentional is very clearly ¨if you are disabled/have a disability you will never accomplish your dream.¨ While sadly more realistic I think its a bad ideal to preach to people, especially in a superhero show. Batman is a perfect example of the intended theme done right. He doesn't have a quirk but he's still a hero in spite of that.

I respect your opinion, but I personally disagree. The message I got from this story is that being a hero isn’t about status, power or who’s the strongest; it’s about character. Heroes come in many forms. A hero is someone who helps and inspires people, not for self interest, but simply because it’s the right thing to do. Some do this by little everyday actions to help others, some by rebuilding, some by addressing larger issues in society and doing your part to change those issues for the better of your community, some by meddling to provide help even when they don’t need to, some by fighting off wrongdoers, some by trying to rehabilitate wrongdoers, some by calling out injustices even if your afraid, some by providing counseling and therapy to others and some by inspiring and guiding the future generations. So in Deku’s case, he embodies most of these qualities that make him a true hero. Not by some flashy powers, but because of his heart, mentality and will to act selflessly. It’s through these qualities that he’s able to inspire everyone around him, including civilians, other heroes and even someone as grand as All Might. Or even change those around him to become better people and heroes than they were before. Like Ida, Shoto, Bakugou, Uraraka and the rest of Class A. Not cause of his quirk, but because of his character. He shows that everyone can be a hero, with or without a quirk, and that heroism isn’t about having power, or saving the world, or performing grand feats. But real heroism is by making everyday choices that can encourage and help others. Even the person (Bakugou) who deemed him worthless for not having a quirk and relentlessly bullied him his entire life, admits that the reason he did that was because he knew that Deku had these qualities of a hero that put him ahead of him and hated it, which led to the relentless bullying. And once they got into U.A, Bakugou says that not a single thing played out the way he wanted it to. And was forced to see how strong Deku was and how far he got ahead of him and how weak he was and how far behind he was to Deku. And the main thing that got Deku ahead of Bakugou, wasn’t his quirk but his qualities that made him a true hero. Which is emphasized in the provisional license exam arc when Deku passed and Bakugou failed. Which became the catalyst for Bakugou, realizing he needed to grow and change his mindset of being a better hero and person.

about the whole deku x uraraka thing I also never cared about that couple, honestly as far as shipping goes it was one of the least interesting, my problem with it is that, if you're not gonna do anything about it, why did the author bothered to put in a romance? not every shonen mc needs a girlfriend. If you're gonna do absolutely nothing with the romance, then don't bother putting it in
@liberleo1384
@liberleo1384 15 күн бұрын
The reason why deku being a teacher is considered bad is due to how depressing it is Deku never saw teaching as a potential route nor spoke about how much he enjoys teaching even in the epilogue it always looked like he settled for it rather then choose to do it all while having little recognition and his friends moving on doing the job he actually wants without him man doesn't even get the girl despite it being her entire character arc. The super suit is the exact reason why him being a teacher is mocked as it signifies that being a hero always was Deku's desire but like at the beginning of the story he has zero will power to actually apply himself and relies on hand outs to receive power if he worked on the suit in any way that would be fine but he didn't even think it was a possibility. Him choosing to be a hero again instead of him staying as a teacher makes the 8 years he spent beforehand worthless as he never actually saw it as a viable way to help society to the degree a legal hero could. If deku tried to be a politician and make changes to society like uraraka or shoji was able during the 8 years the "peaked in highschool" allegations wouldn't exist but instead he became the greatest hero for all of 3 seconds before fading into obscurity training people to do what he is unable to do himself.

I actually hate when Marvel makes Spider-Man constantly suffer to such a ridiculous degree, I hate that he's treated like the bud of the joke from other lesser superheroes who aren't even good enough to lick the bottom of his shoes, this is why I don't even read the Spider-Man comics anymore which hurts cuz he's my favorite superhero. Marvel makes him suffer so much at this point that he doesn't even feel relatable anymore. He feels more like a poor victim of sick twisted vindictive psychopaths who relish in his suffering.

Ochako and Deku not ending up together is a flaw cause it was an integral part of Ochako's plot with Toga. Yes, romance isn't the point of the series, well it shouldn't have been at such a forefront in her arc. Them not getting together means all that time we spent building the relationship is utterly pointless. I'm not a shipper, I would've also been fine with them being platonic friends, if they weren't being set up to get together, you can't just build a relationship and then pussy out with no follow through. If the ending wasn't so damn open ended, them not getting together could've also been fine, like maybe Ochako is still suffering from survivors guilt, but no, things are left as vague as possible and I can't blame anyone who's upset about it.

The answer is subtext. Not everything is super over explained in MHA. That is why I think it’s a bit sad that a lot of people do not understand the message: Deku is the only shonen character who sacrificed his dream for everyone else including his main antagonist, without expecting or wanting anything in return. „One for all“ truly was completed even within the meaning of it’s name. Deku did the one thing Allmight couldn’t do, because he saved society from itself by understanding that even the villain in front of him was a human with an origin. Allmight had to carry society on his back for years, which unfortunately led to a complete dependence on heros, the commercialisation of heroism and blind idolisation of heros which in return led to extremists groups forming. Deku however understood that the only way to actually pass the gab in society is to try and reach out and most importantly protect the future of society by understanding and caring for it’s children. Hero-society is no more. The other thing about Deku is, he may has cried a lot, but he never freaking whined. Even to the very end he never complained about the situation he’s was in, not even once and not even when he didn’t eat or sleep for months. I wouldn’t even care if he really was working at McDonalds because he’s simply the greatest hero, the super-power was never the reason. Even though we learned that his former classmates have worked their asses off for 8 years giving him a chance of becoming a part time hero, it’s still not a happy ending. But that is the point, because we shouldn’t do good things because we expect something in return wether it be Karma, fame, fortune or a chance of a possible better afterlife, we should really look at other people and do good, simply because it’s the right thing. Nice video as always still❤ I just don’t share the same the exact opinion about the epilogue and if Allmight would have died I would have hated the series 😂. Death doesn’t necessarily help a story or make it good…just look at the walking dead. Why do people hope for dramatic deaths it’s like the early edgy 2000’s have made a full comeback. But if you like that show, that is okay too:) no hate

The first message that hit me watching MHA was: "without powers your no one, you even barely exists" (we can transpolate that to real life as money instead of powers) I dropped the show around season 4, honestly the show to me was (at that point obviouly) bland side characters, generic shonen, cheap fanservice (specially THAT character omg I honestly thing that hes the worst character ever made, a love letter to everything wrong about the subject, I hate him), etc.

I am genuinely surprised how many people want All Might to die at the end just cause that is how stories of most top superheroes(like Iron Man) or anime sensei end .Yes, more people should have died but not All Might. All Might dying would render the whole plot point with Night eye's quirk pointless. The arc showed that the future can be changed and All Might decided he will survive and change the fate of his gruesome death. And it was none other than Bakugo, who felt responsible for ending All Might power, who saved him. I am glad AFO did not get to kill AM like he killed all the previous users. Overall, it is quiet refreshing that we see a hero enjoy the world he saved for 40 years and grow old enjoying looking over the next generation.
@t.j.1584
@t.j.1584 Ай бұрын
THANK YOU!!! I don’t understand why people wanted that to happen. Like you said it would’ve made the whole plot point around Night eye’s quirk and the possibility of changing the future very pointless. And it’s very well written that the person who happened to save him was the person who felt the most responsible for ending All Might’s power and career as a hero, that being Bakugou Also, I’m glad All Might lived after all this. He’s one of my favorite characters and I find it unique that MHA is one of the shounen’s to not kill off the master for the sake of character rage and development and decided to give him a good ending. I’ve seen some takes saying that All Might’s death would’ve benefited the story…yet they don’t say how it would’ve benefited the story. Like his death would add to nothing, the outcome of the fights and story would most likely still be the same. But yeah’s I’m glad he lived to the bitter end. If there was anyone who should’ve died in that position it should’ve been Gran Torino. Gran Torino’s death would’ve elevated Shigaraki as a villain and fundamentally impact Deku. It would make the way Deku acts in the dark hero arc make a lot more sense and it would make Deku wearing Gran Torino’s cape feel more impactful. And it would be an ironic death seeing as Gran Torino kinda had a hand in Shigaraki becoming the villain he was, just to be killed by said villain. Plus Gran Torino literally plays no role in the series after getting gut punched by Shigaraki.

You know, this ending made me think about a "similar" ending of another jump comic, assassination classroom, where at the end SPOILERS Nagisa also becomes a tracher and decides to not be an assassin anymore. But there, it doesn't feel like he was "left behind" by his friends (even Karma, who basically becomes a political big shot), and more importantly, Nagisa uses his previous experiences to enhance his new path in life. Him choosing to teach is treated as a GOOD thing. Here, Deku becoming a teacher feels like him having to settle because his dream becomes unreachable, his friends and loved ones basically forget he exists (and I get they helped with the suit, but just showing them giving him a call or briefly hanging out would at least show they care about him), and it basically feels like his worth was entirely dependant on ofa, wich is against the themes of the show (like how Naruto was a nature vs nurture story, until it is revealed Naruto himself is basically the chosen one). It feels like Deku's entire character developement got flipped.

This is my version of the ending of MHA By the way in my version I want deku to keep one for all I change my mind bout him losing it and using technology. all they had to do was just make things come full circle of things that were established Have narrator say "as time went on Deku finally achieved his dream and became number one" show him as number one hitting the all might pose in homage to him keep the hero billboard thing cuz how else would he be identified as number one lol. Then after show him walking around getting fans adoring him wanting pictures having some paparazzi cuz all might had that too big fanbase that love him. It's granted man after everything he did plus him beating shigaraki was broadcasted live lol Then show him being a teacher cuz remember pro heroes were both people that saved lives fought and also taught classes in hero academia like N aiwza etc so have Deku have both roles but make sure you show him being number one first instead of just a teacher cuz that's the whole point of the series. Show him teaching his class being a good instructor and motivating the class making them like him and stuff then have the class be dismissed as it's the end of the day have Principal Nezu call Deku down saying their random villains that need to be taken down. Deku goes out finds said villains and while he does he sees all his friends together fighting them off they win they all happy briefly talk to each other bout how well they did Deku and Ochaco briefly talk then both kiss then after that they run together just like the final panel in the last chapter and narrator as Deku or whatever after says "this was the story of how I became the greatest hero" and that's it boom fixed. As for One for All you can just say he retained it but it's weaker now so that we still feel like something at stake kinda like how All Might’s One for All got weak over time due to severe damage cuz literally a chapter before this he still had a remainder of it then suddenly lost it some out of nowhere BS and ye that's it man honestly it's kinda easy (at least to me) to have it have a good ending for this type of series even though the series was rushed I don't know how he fumbled. I changed my mind on the whole technology thing cuz what's the point of him ever getting one for all just for him to lose it and used some advanced iron man suit that's just as powerful as him when he had super powers should of just worked real hard on his own or in tech support to make that then no point of all the one for all stuff happening just to do that

I wonder what the reaction to the ending will be in a few years, because no shonen ending (with extremely few exceptions) has been received well on release. Personally I felt like it mostly stuck the landing. The final todoroki family chapter was superb, enji decides to keep living while looking at his first son (a living embodiment of his failure) while shoto decides to let go of any hate he had and we see the beginning of a genuine relationship between him and Toya. The Spinner chapter was pretty good too albeit a bit rushed imo. The league always seemed to be a group of rejects with a bone to pick but twice and spinner were a lot more mellow in comparison. Twice genuinely only wanted a family and friends and Spinner was a shut-in who clung to shigaraki’s ideals, at some point he feels more like one of shigaraki’s friends that’s just there to hang out. After the first war happens he regresses and basically abandons his friend and only realizes that he may have been able to save him or that at the very least he should’ve tried. Uraraka’s chapter might honestly be my favorite of the whole series, but I’ll let my thoughts on it simmer before writing a whole paragraph on it since this comment is already pretty big.

Yeah, it’ll be interesting to see how people react to this ending in the next few years. Honestly I feel like it’ll be interesting to see how people react to this series as a whole in the next few years. Cause honestly with all the crazy shipping of the fandom and the constant hate and slander this series gets online, it feels like MHA’s story and powerful messages just get under looked. After a few years maybe a lot more people will start coming around to appreciating it more. Now let me talk about one of my top ten favorite characters in the series…Uraraka. I for one loved her development throughout the series. I noticed her driving motive is mainly to support others. At first it was to become a hero to support her family, than it goes to wanting to support other heroes when they’re hurting and than wanting to understand and save villains. Which led to the Toga and Uraraka plotline at first being the least interesting plot line about a love triangle, to surprisingly be one of the best plot lines in the series being so much more than just a “love triangle”. It’s such a shame people downplay that plotline and try to downplay Uraraka’s character to just “a girl who has a crush on the MC” when she’s so much more than that. I also like part of her story was about shutting those feelings away so that her and Deku could focus on becoming the heroes they want to be. Anyways, I’m done rambling on making an essay about MHA. Sorry for that btw.

"After the first war happens he regresses and basically abandons his friend"? Spinner before following Skeptic's & AFO's instruction to make the call to action (ch.341), internally: _"No more... thinking it over. I'm only here for your sake, Shigaraki."_ I don't understand where this conception that Spinner abandoned Shigaraki came from. Are you under the assumption that Shuichi accepting quirks from AFO = betraying Tomura? Spinner's ALWAYS been the League of Villain's weakest link (I'm speaking combatively, not psychologically). Even BEFORE Toga and Twice received their game-changing buffs, he was outclassed by everyone else in the League. If he wanted to genuinely contribute and carry his own load (to help Shigaraki as much as he could) in this final war, is it really a bad thing that he took the opportunity to receive enhancements so he could measure up in battle? The problem was that this method he had available to obtain more power involved making a deal with the devil. But everything he did with that power, right to the very end, was with the intent to help and save Shigaraki. Don't get me wrong, ch.427 (the Spinner chapter you referred to) does portray him as the one that, back during the events of ch.341, could have saved Tomura had he taken one more step forward that night. Of course, there's very little thought put into that idea beyond the regret and survivor's guilt Shuichi feels, so "taking one more step"-which would entail saving Shigaraki from both death (at the hands of Heroes) and AFO-is seen as the obviously correct choice that he should have definitely made. No matter the fact that they were trapped in the middle of nowhere with the most powerful criminal mastermind in the world. No matter how much it could/would have endangered him and/or his teammates to go against AFO's word. No matter that he had absolutely no reason to trust the Heroes to help Tomura seeing as how they killed Twice and (temporarily) reduced Tomura to a pummeled, singed, near-dead paralytic in an attempt to kill him, too. No matter that Shigaraki was unironically possessed (even if Spinner didn't know by who) and could easily resist any attempt by the others to help him escape AFO's reach. Doesn't matter. YOU'RE to blame. Suffer.

It's not even bad per se, it just doesn't fit with the whole series really, of all the Shounen obligatory romance this one is bad not because characters can't have platonic relationships but because Horikoshi one chapter ago was still pushing Uraraka on the spotlight with Deku and the fact that she didn't even confess (even if ended up in rejection) is just a loose end that Horikoshi chickened out of it, the other takes are pretty much in line with the whole community that isn't straight up just hating the chapter.

Feels really weird to call this "a rise and fall" when it's just "things i personally didn't like" (and some of it just feels like misinterpretation), sorry but it feels like trying to bait hate clicks. My biggest issue with this video is "give deku some credit", when he clearly does when he's being compared to All Might and Endeavor, along with Bakugo and Shoto. People still think about him and his impact on the country is felt even 8 years later. Do you think it's even in Deku's character to be some super rich celebrity because he saved the world? And again, it's been 8 years. In the middle of the country rebuilding itself and society changing it makes sense he becomes a bit more obscure. Anyway another point is one I see a lot of people not understand, but the 8 years seems to include the rest of their time at UA. So since becoming adults, it's been maybe 6 years. So this is to go into "why did they wait 8 years to give him the suit, they're wealthy pro heroes who could easily afford." All Might drained his entire net worth into his suit, do you think new pros could afford that kinda money? And idk why people just assume it took them 8 years to do it (again literally were in school for 2 of them), reasonably it's definitely been a shorter span of time than we think. There's just so little being considered with this take and is just all surface level reading. (i will say the cost was in a volume extra, still feel like it can be inferred though). I do agree though we shouldn't have skipped their remaining years, while the series went away from the school setting pretty quickly I wish we saw them in their 3rd year at least. Maybe the anime or movies can explore it more but 8 years is pretty sudden. I wish the final chapter was longer and showed more of the current times but oh well.

@@heavenlyvirtue8367 We wouldn’t have Armored All Might, which factored into the ending Plus Katsuki redeeming his self doubt by saving All Might was crucial for his character Not to mention All Might’s legacy saving him while All for One’s legacy destroying himself is a thematic point Like I said y’all have an unhealthy obsession with All Might death.

@@heavenlyvirtue8367 the only way for all might dying would work in the story is if Hori completely rewrote two entire arcs!

15:51 Literal facts man. The reason MHA releases annually along with the occasional movie is because the series is Bones' cash cow. It's a financially reliable property that they can produce consistently so they can fund their passion projects like Mob Psycho 100. Much like my thoughts on the manga, I've been disappointed with decisions made by the anime adaptation wise since the start of the overhaul arc. Even if I don't love it anymore, I'll always appreciate how important it is to have series like this in the industry

my least favorite fandom claim is that the ending was "realistic". like, ok sure maybe it is, but who tf is watching MHA for REALISM???? i wanted Deku to be glazed by the whole world until the end of time. if they can revive bekugou w fuckinf jeans, i dont think Deku getting his quirk again would have been that far fetched. idk i just think it was fumbled myself 😔 but to each their own i guess

I enjoyed MHA up until the ending arc where Bakugou is rescued by his class from the villains who were trying to turn him to their side. I did watch the first movie, but after that... I just stopped watching. XD I never liked Deku, though, but him becoming a teacher makes soooo much sense.
