This is not clarity. This is not what actually happened. There were no "right wing" attacks. The only violence committed was by the far left toward anyone that would not comply. The entire movement is about compliance. Anyone in CHAZ who didn't comply was dragged to an interrogation tent. Also the Proud Boys aren't even white people by in large.

For we’re already in that cycle. and nobody sees, that creating hate to protect that Witch you love actually makes you become that which you were seeking to destroy. And the only way for there to be peace, is to stop fighting. This philosophy holds strong in the collective physical world. and the individual spiritual one. Don’t let your self be dragged down with feelings of revenge, judgment or any kind of resentment for the actions of lost souls. Yeah it's a pretty shit situation. It was the tragic culmination of long night of intimidation from outside groups and a case of mistaken identity. Over the course of the night a silver/grey SUV without plates had been seen in and around capitol hill. About 5 - 10 minutes before the murder, that SUV barreled across Cal Anderson park (not really mentioned in the video, but this just outside the "official" CHOP boundaries and where a large houseless encampment had setup) shooting out the windows. There is still some confusion about if this was meant to kill people or just scare them since it was late and no one got any good video of it happening. Depending on who you ask, the shooters were either shooting into tents or into the air. Someone who said they were shooting into the air claimed to have called the police, who refused to come because there wasn't proof this was a "mass casualty event" (stated to be one of the only reasons they would respond to CHOP). This information was relayed to Security on 12th Avenue (where the shooting of the teenagers happened), but as "Silver SUV shooting into tents. Cops not coming". In the stream overlooking the road you can hear yelling as people try to get the description of the car to all the street blockades. Suddenly there are screams a pointing South as they see a silver SUV barreling towards them. The rest of the story is foggy since the people who were actually at that barricade haven't really talked about it to anyone. From what I can gather, the car blew through the warning sign on that side of the road, someone shot out the tires causing the car to swerve and crash into a barricade, and then someone shot. I'm not sure how many people actually know who pulled the trigger and shot those kids. I woke up to the news and walked to CHOP to see what I learn. All I found were people distraught with what happened. Some blamed armed private security who had been hired by businesses to protect their property. Others blamed the city for trying to force open that lane for traffic and setting the stage for the tragedy that eventually transpired. And many blamed themselves for weakening their protections to the point that fear of an attack led to someone killing an innocent child. Sorry for writing so much. It was a fucked up situation and I just wanted to share the details I learned from asking around.

You can request records from sheriff as long as it is for journalism. The reason they don't have it public automatically is that they have to manually censor the footage so it won't compromise privacy of the people recorded (for instance so that the police camera footage of a traffic stop won't show the stopped person's social security information when requested to identify), which means the footage is delivered on demand rather than being automatically uploaded to a site.

it really rams home the unfortunate fact, that pure anarchy always fails and bullies will thrive in any system policed or not. the difference is police provide an established route to justice without hearsay or innuendo, which is sorely lacking in an unpoliced system.
@shlorbin473

Oh yeah, police work real fine. Not like there's an entire series of protest because of a police officers negligent murder and in turn, the state not enforcing justice ONTO that police officer, literally the police union and corrupt individuals alike also breaking his million bond in a month. Is that 'justice?' Police (and in turn the state) will forever be a corrupt force until there is no such concept of hierarchical power that can be abused in the first place, and everyone's needs are equally and adequately taken care of so some people aren't 'forced' into doing atrocious actions on behalf of the state. But the police cannot act without the state, and there will forever be individuals seeking to abuse power. So why create a system that not only harbors them, but incentivizes that to 'get to the top?'

@@shlorbin473 Agreed, they said pure anarchy always fails. And your problem is they didn't also explain your point? They actually said even corrupt authorities give some uniformity, where roving mobs of empowered idiots are wholey unpredictable. Not that I am advocating for it, but many societies have functioned with corrupt policing forces, honestly all of them. Is it a drain on the society, yes. But it is sustainable, versus mobs patrolling for someone to pick on is not sustainable, predictable or functional. I believe that was the OPs point. Again, not defending corruption, I just think rhe OP considered it is a given that corrupt cops are bad, and was only talking about the counter point, i.e. anarchy.
@shlorbin473
@shlorbin473 3 жыл бұрын
@@sinisterthoughts2896 i think the actual problem here is that OP is apart of the group that still think 'pure' anarchy, where there is quite literally no route afterwards, is something people are arguing for day in and out, and not established routes of varying freedom and decentralization. seeing any opposition to policing as the total, complete opposite. and yes, there are corrupt states with policing included that 'work', but generally, at what cost? that cost usually causes instability and will require the state to quite literally dismantle itself somewhat to gain trust back from the citizens targeted. if the heads of the state choose not to, the fall of that nation is inevitable, regardless of how long it takes. we're seeing this happen in real time, whatever state you're in not controlling the pandemic adequately, not giving aide to its citizens, and then protests/riots. or ultra-authoritarian takeovers.

Yeah that was terrible situation. It was the tragic culmination of long night of intimidation from outside groups and a case of mistaken identity. Over the course of the night a silver/grey SUV without plates had been seen in and around capitol hill. About 5 - 10 minutes before the murder, that SUV barreled across Cal Anderson park (not really mentioned in the video, but this just outside the "official" CHOP boundaries and where a large houseless encampment had setup. Just beyond the gardens mentioned) shooting out the windows.

A reasonably good video in that it didn't completely slant one way or the other. Really would have liked to seen a few other things before I would call it a good "documentary": 1. Interviews with some residents and business owners in and around the CHOP that could give a different perspective. Should have been easy and would have given a wider view. 2. More time spent on the "fall" of CHOP other than the shootings. The way the video presents the situation, the CHOP was going strong until the violence ramped up. As a person who lived a block away from a CHOP entrance, it was easy to see that the population peaked after about the first week, but by the time it was cleared out, roughly (my estimate) 75% of the people had already left. I walked through it at least once per day, and it was very noticeable that the number of tents was dropping literally every day around the gardens. Some of this was likely due to violence, but it was impossible to deny that there was escalating infighting within the CHOP.

@Paul Revere1776 there are no distinctions in capitalism. There is one capitalism and it's eating us all up. If you and guys like you cared about anything else other than semantics, you'd be taking up arms against the current system and trying to change it to what you think would be a better one (in your case "free market capitalism" as opposed to "corporatism"). But y'all never do it because deep down you don't want the system that benefits you to change. You try to legitimize it by saying that there are more humane forms of it, but more and more people are coming to grips with the fact that that's a lie. The free market is what caused chattel slavery, imperialism, colonialism, monopolization and exploitation of workers. The profit motive is behind all of this. This is probably the best on ground documentary on CHAZ
@TheRedStarman
@TheRedStarman 4 жыл бұрын
Took me halfway through this documentary to realize that this video is going to appear one sided, because generally speaking, everyone at CHAZ/CHOP has a similar point of view to begin with, and so they’re going to have a generally positive opinion of CHAZ/CHOP and the actions that took place within it. I’m sure if PF existed back in 2014 and they went to the Bundy Ranch standoffs, everyone there would have conservative/libertarian viewpoints and so that hypothetical documentary would appear one-sided. PF isn’t out to make documentaries that have the privilege of hindsight, they’re making documentaries about the now. If for example PF goes to Belarus to document the protests (stay safe if you do), don’t expect a “balanced” coverage. It will be PF interviewing the protestors, because they’re the people doing things. What we’re seeing is reporting, and it feels weird because we haven’t seen it in fuckin forever. Everything else is “journalism”, and journalism has been dead, at least for me, when someone told the world that Saddam had WMDs.

The problem with that assumption, is that the documentary is factually one-sided, because efforts weren't made to cover the views and actions of those who opposed the CHAZ/CHOP through anything but the lens of 'from CHAZ/CHOP point of view'. It over-focused on trying to portray CHAZ/CHOP 'protestors' as being 'reasonable' until a 'right-wing' action caused them to not be. It pushes a certain narrative while trying to 'look' objective. This is obvious from the first few minutes, where they use terms like 'mostly peaceful' and 'abuse' when referring to police breaking up protests. The moment a single individual at a protest gets violent, that protest is no longer peaceful. Officers at protests tend to be outnumbered 5-1 which makes it BEYOND dangerous for them to deal with those who cross the lines individually. Hence the deployment of tear gas and other items to push back the other protestors and clear space so that the police can safely approach and arrest the actual troublemakers. Of all those clips they have at the beginning, of supposed police abuse, I see a total of 1 situation that is iffy. That's the one of a 'protestor' on the ground getting railed in the face with punches. That's not an accepted procedure or use of force, to be mounted and swinging like that. The whole 'woman hit in chest with CS grenade'? Those are fired from a launcher. Those launchers are not particularly accurate, especially when the user does not have daily practice with the device to learn instinctual ranging.

Your point is fair, but has a flaw. If this video was put out while CHOP was still active (as in the Belarus example), then you obviously are going to get a slant that reflects that fact. However, this was put out six weeks later, meaning there was at least some time after the fall to get some extra perspectives.

@Doctor Faustus where was the biased? They didn't have any opinion commentary on the situation there? A behind the scenes look. I've no dog in this fight - the left and right are two red slapped cheeks of the same boring stretch marked arse. Always find it ironic though that a lot of the right accuse everyone else that isn't them as being 'snowflakes' when they are the biggest flakes of them all. They are the first to cry 'my free speech', 'fake news', 'biased', 'libtard' etc etc when someone doesn't agree with their narrative. Leave this type of program to the adults and stick you with Breitbart or whatever other one sided pish you use as your echo chambered news source these days. Now please kindly fuck off. I'm going to enjoy my day and leave fighting over statues and a reality show ex president to the rest of you arseholes. Shaaaamone X

In Louisville we were occupying Jefferson Square Park across from Town Hall. On a day of a large protest, a paranoid schizophrenic who had be arrested two times THAT MONTH, somehow got a gun, and shot and killed someone at the protest. The fact a severely mentally ill homeless man got a gun is very sus, but the fact that he was regularly arrested and never helped shows how the "justice" system is more focused on punishment than actually keeping people safe.

This video leaves out so manny of the jucy things that happened in chaz. Like the fact that there where more black people killed by chaz in two weeks than the rest of the year by police. How chaz polize executed people on camera, al the rapings and murders, al the eleged right wing attack where in fact their own people, what about the gestapo interrogation tents, what about how buisnesses who stil wanted to operate had to pay "taxes" to chaz, how all maner of weaponry was ceased by chaz, civilians who lived there had to carry their pasports or they get thrown into interrogation camps, what abou the emergency services could not get to the guys who where shot because they where blocked by their own protesters what about the child that was murdered by caz police, did i mention the silver car where everyone was gunned down in because it was stolen was actually the wrong car and they killed a innocent guy, why do they want to defund the police but carry bodyarmour and rifles, etc, etc, tec. And thars just the stuff i could think of of the top of my head while heaving dinner

sources on literally any of this? i know the shooting happened but i'd put money on them never executing anyone, "rapes and murders" being called in by ppl who were against it, dont even know what the fuck an interrogation tent is, know for a fact they let businesses freely work, and saying that ppl who want to defund the police shouldn't arm and protect themselves against the police is a braindead take. but if u can prove any of this to me i'd be delighted to see it.

As someone who was born and raised in the Seattle area, and currently lives not too far from Cal Anderson Park. Their was a ton of one sided reporting that this was a warzone/upstart revolution or it was a some slam poetry art "block party" like our mayor said, this video makes fits the latter. Honestly the place was basically fine during the day(still would have fucking sucked to have lived within a 5 block radius of the place), the place became basically the temporary home base for all homeless is Seattle so some petty crime and shit followed obviously. At night time is when it went to shit there was pretty much like one night that didn't go horribally wrong. Proud boys or whatever didn't even need to do anything cause the security and John Brown gun club larpers were so fucking stupid and shitty at providing a sliver of fucking security. I know people who associate with the club or are in it idk how it works cause it's dumb af but they are all loosers and would be the last person you would want to put in a situation like this. Overall this entire stunt was stupid as fuck and I'm glad it's gone, this city is still going to shit regardless but at least we're not pory
