Excellent work again! Very clever. I remember this attraction when they incorporated the tagada into it. The phantom of the opera music tableau was moved to the ghost train.... I think it's probably still there.

Yes, there are a few scenes from trauma towers still in the ghost train

Trauma Towers really is the ride I miss the most at Pleasure Beach, especially when the weather is shite!

I can't shake the feeling that BPB doesn't have the right people behind it! You nailed it! 😎👍

I agree. The previous managing director (Geoffrey Thompson) had an obvious love of theme parks and he was always trying to expand with ambitious new rides. The current management seem more interested in profit (although they did install Icon which is still the best coaster in the UK in my opinion)

@@arthurperno292you’ve summed it up perfectly, the previous management had a love for theme parks, you can see it in old documentaries.

When you think about it, before it became Trauma Towers, Haunted Hotel had a much more humorous tone to it, when it became Trauma Towers, it became more disturbing. Unless there's any way you can describe the Haunted Hotel in terms of anything I don't see in your footage.
@arthurperno292 Жыл бұрын
Yes, they definately played it for laughs while it was haunted hotel. I think I preferred it that way.

@@arthurperno292 Yeah, Trauma Towers focused more on death, decay, the macabre and misfortune.

As somebody who Miss trauma Towers in a big way, I have to say you’ve done well with recreating it, I’m guessing planet coaster doesn’t know what a tagada is lol Hence, why you’ve got a meteorite instead.

@@arthurperno292 I have! I think you have done really well with all aspects of the park. And on console its not easy as your further limited but this looks amazing. I particularly liked the mine train. I am 35 and that was my childhood ride. As great as W&G is it will never be the mine. One other ride that I loved was Greatest show on earth.... always loved walking past "zip a dee doo da " blaring out :)

@@racheljulia123 I'm thinking of recreating a few more old retro rides and putting them on the channel in future. I think I've got an old video with a pov of Greatest show on earth so may put that up at some point as well.

Very cool recreation of the building, but even more amazing is your surviving footage of the original Haunted Hotel! I think you might be the only one on KZbin who has footage of it before it was Trauma Towers. It was an entirely different attraction it looks like, I think I actually kind of like it better than Trauma Towers, very unique and has a definite charm of its own, I like the kind of "comic book" presentation of the scenes.

Yes, I preferred the haunted hotel to trauma towers as well. Trauma towers was more serious while the haunted hotel was much more light hearted.

love the way you have remade the haunted hotel. What pieces did you use for the tagada or could i possibly look on planet coaster as im building a funfair i will give you credit when the funfair is finished also i remember that i came off with bruises it was hilarious 😂😂

Yes, Tagada was rough but I liked it. If you are on PS5 all of my recreations are on the workshop so feel free to use whatever you want. Let me know when your fun fair is finished and I'll take a look. (I haven't uploaded Tagada to the workshop yet. I'm working on recreating an early 1990's version of the Pleasure Beach so will upload when it's finished). For the ride itself I used small pieces called ancient carved feature and then copied and rotated them to make the circle. Bit hard to explain but may do some tutorial videos soon. Glad to hear from a fellow red by the way Y.N.W.A

Shame they got rid of this I never got the chance to walk through it. Although I've seen some footage of it on KZbin at the entrance back when it was running they had a laughing hotel manager automaton similar to the laughing man I noticed the head of that looks similar to the clown. It's nice that some of scenes from the attraction where saved and put into the Ghost Train.
@arthurperno292 Жыл бұрын
Years ago when you paid for individual rides, they used every available space to cram as many rides as possible in. Now that it's one admission price, it seems as though classics like trauma towers and wild mouse are just inconveniences to be demolished. I plan on doing some recreations of other retired classics soon
