here’s my hot take on DE: ever since the significant downfall of their reputation from the “gambling update”, it really set the standard of what voldex’s intentions were: more money and more playtime. word spread from DE QA members that even when they were disagreeing with the update and saying it was a bad idea, not one representative from voldex gave a care or a response back. they didnt even listen to their own crew. original developers left the team, moderators were planning a rebellion, it was all hell broken lose. no one had respect for voldex because they, in short, came upon one of the most beloved games on roblox and fucked it up. after that shit show long passed, and they began adding licensed cars, there was still no hope of bringing its old reputation back. OG players rarely hop on the game and most even went out to start their own car game; a car game that each and every developer would hope to be the next DE or the car game that DE would never be. regardless of their efforts being put in to bring up the player retention that it had before, the game to this day is so bleak and bland. there’s no ‘real fun’ or end goal. all races are repetitive, licensed cars overall have little to no fun customization (excluding a selected few), and there is an absurd amount of features and cars behind a paywall for absurdly great prices. the unfortunate part about most of this is that the game is only popular or relatively active because there’s mindless kids probably scrolling yt shorts/tiktoks while playing the game. they have no concept of there not being an end game goal. voldex has not internally changed its mindset away from making money, and they’ve already proven that since the beginning of the “gambling update”.

Let me sum up Driving empire started as a small project by bourgist and another guy in 2019,sum beef caused the other guy to leave and now bourgist is the only owner left,nicks joins few years passes some people joins and some leave now the main part In start of 2023 voldex bought driving empire,but they portrayed it in a way that it seemed like a partnership,voldex as they weren't aware of community based games they launched updates that they used to launch in their other game which were mainly kids simulator games,which were unlinked by the community an example of it is the gambling update,gambling update caused something very cringe and childish Some kids decided to e mail large brands for car removal so they could get revenge on voldex I completely understand this because there is an increase in mentely disabled children in recent years anyways brand got removed and yeh later it became a trend is now they messaged brand just so the brand gets removed from the game and they earn 150% profit later thattrnad broke as driving empire removed the profit and just gave full value *The rise again* Driving empire approached different brands like Pagani gvr McLaren etc and asked for licencing,Pagani was the first to get added and the trend of constant addition of brands continued till this day

Considering you play CDT it's probably your attention span DE has a way better map, you can actually rp, has the best races, best community, best car models, car meets, etc. Also it has REAL licenses and real car brands, they have real badged and don't compromise on model quality. CDT has one of the worst maps ever with awful models and awful races, SWFL hasn't updated in a year, and car crushers 2 is just an awful game

The game is simply bad. Besides licensed car brands and really nice car models, it has nothing else good. It has poor customization, terrible engine sounds, bad gameplay, and no new content besides cars and events. Furthermore, they actually removed features like jobs (even though it was a terrible and useless feature, if taken seriously, it could have been nice) instead of improving them.

the game sucks only because the driving physics sure the game has gotten better because licensing 100000% but the issue with the driving physics and mechanics has been bad for over... 3 YEARS NOW (Arcade like driving physics with realistic driving physics. You can't be in the middle with that type of driving. Its like oil and water mixing together.) That is my main issue with the game since playing 2019, but the direction they r taking... im happy with it so far
