No one has been more deserving of a starting position than Ben Spencer. His unpredictable flair is matched only by his superb game management. My favourite scrum-half in England!

As a Bath fan, we are blessed with having Spenny and Finn playing together. Great combination of great players

So deserving of his start and he lived up to expectations as well. Looking forward to supporting Ben in many more!

Looks like when George Ford missed that kick at the end, Ben Curry goes straight to console him. When all ends, no one means to make a mistake and how you react defines you as a person. Onwards and upwards.

Dead proud of the team. Spenny we love you. Fordy you are an English legend still. Heads up, chins up. Come the boys.

Ben Youngs last 25 caps could have been given to Spencer unfortunately

That’s a great comment. Though I’m a Tiger I’m a bigger England fan. 🏴

In 2019 Spencer was the best 9 in England by.a mile. Should have been starting that whole world cup cycle.

Good to see George Ford practicing his drop goals in the background when Ben was doing his box kicks...

Class player. Leave him on this week please, Steve.

Long overdue that Ben Spencer gets a run in this team. He’s been England’s most complete scrum half for years. He seems to have been classed as a kicking 9, which is complete nonsense. Yea he has that in his game, but anyone that’s actually watched him for Saracens and now Bath knows he’s lethal around rucks.

Was the best 9 in England in 2019... His partnership with Farrell at Saracens should have carried through to International, he's been good enough for 5 years at least.

Seriously believe it’s Ben Spencer’s time now. As good as Alex Mitchell has been for England I see him on the bench behind Ben now. Well done Ben Spencer you’ve deserved it and was exceptional last week.

Apology needed from Steve at the end, silly subs
@dcmj379816 күн бұрын
you say that but hindsight is a blessing we have as fans. you dont know what the heart rates of these guys that are playing at this tempo at this level, must be knackering. ontop of that all the guys on the bench of any top international team are class.

@@dcmj3798 but to replace Smith who was controlling the game perfectly and replace with Ford who’s only played 80 minutes of rugby this season? Also Spencer who is characteristically made for closing a game with a ball playing runner 🤔. For me, premeditated subs that lost us the game.
