Want your mind blown? The Waffen SS was THE most racially diverse fighting unit of WWII on any side. They were seen as anti-communist so they had volunteer units from all over the world. One of the groups defending the bunker was an SS platoon from India. That’s part of the story these documentaries never explain. The Nazis were a REACTION to Soviet communism. This didn’t happen in a vacuum. Germans knew millions were being slaughtered and starved in the Soviet Union and there were attempted Soviet revolutions in Germany. Not disconnected communist revolutions, but attempts to establish Soviet states. The communists were also up to their typical subversive BS which creates massive societal upheaval. Germans cheered as their own rights were taken because freedom means little when communists are burning your business and raping your wife in the name of equity. It’s vital people learn the proper lessons because history is replaying itself and we don’t need Nazism OR Marxism
