Among all the new teams only Afghanistan came to top level cricket. Ireland did a bit but I don't know how Afghanistan which was in war did so well but most of them failed. All the best for all teams

@@itssussychad Netherlands are playing cricket more than Afghanistan and they have players from South Africa etc. though I agree they are playing better cricket from last WC but they are nowhere close to Afghanistan. USA bcos all of the players are from other countries

@@hmmer3471 Dutch won't grow with non home grown players. Even PNG and Namibia seems to have homegrown players and look more sustainable. Ireland and Scotland needs more exposure. BTW, WI needs to have more crowd. Their only shot at a sport apart from Olympic athletics is cricket.

have you guys even looked at what americans are cooking rn?! i was quite surprised they organize regular leagues for juniors, div a div b, their junior are really good and invested in cricket... they even telecast div b matches u13 u15 live on youtube mlc channel. major league cricket is doing decent, they regularly update scores on website.. I think even asian giants like sri lanka and bangladesh aren't doing that.. even though 95% of american junior and senior cricketers are of south asian decent but don't be surprised if they beat teams like sri lanka and pakistan by 2028 wc t20!

They need to stick to whoever is best in cricket and more passionate, which seems to be a white dominant thing in Namibia. If they start doing race based reservation like in SA, they are going to end it before they begin. Imagine if India had caste based reservation in cricket. I'm not sure where India would have been in terms of achievements till now.

i would rather like to sse malaysia indonesia japan qualifying for world cup instead of oman or uae.. they are fking pakistan b team.. and craze for cricket among locals in middle east is null.. and they do decent at football.. they're even investing in football but malaysia and indonesia are downbad at all sports apart from badminton... if icc can reach to the indonesian and malaysia high school and get those teenagers play and learn about sport.. cricket would completely transform trust me.. cuz now you got india pak indo bang.. combined population is 2 billion plus.. cricket is already growing in usa.. only if we get malaysia philippines and indonesia to play this sport.. competition would be crazy!! imagine asia cup my god..

They seem to be home grown, by and large. All have German and Dutch surnames (mostly German which is not the case for SA), the people who have been in Namibia for decades and decades now during and after colonisation.

I don't think so. Many (not all) of them have German surnames which is not that common among SA whites who mostly have Dutch and English surnames. Namibia had German colonisation.
