The Rise of Russel Orhii: The King of Powerlifting

Born in San Antonio Texas to Nigerian born immigrants, Russel Orhii had hard work and dedication in his blood. His father is the former director of Nigeria's food and drug administration and his mother not only worked in nursing, but passed her bar exam.
So he inherited the work ethic he got from his parents and brought it to the football field. While he didn't dislike football, he realized something interesting. He preferred lifting in the weight room more than actually playing.
So When he got to the University of Houston, he gave up on his football dreams to pursue an avenue that he felt he was better suited for...Powerlifting.
From day 1, he set out to become the best powerlifter in the 83kg class and by year 8 he not only accomplished that, but influenced an entire generation in a way even he couldn't have ever imagined. With 5 national and two world titles, He's more than earned the nickname...the king of the 83's.
