Really appreciate the thoughtful coverage of the shape and the pinky ergonomics. Other people have expressed the same issue about awkward/lack of pinky support on the Maya.

hacate g3m pro, pretty similar to gpx, has 2 switches that you can switch between by the bottom button. One is normal and second is silent mode

use fingertip grip and my maya is on the way i am really excited to play with it i used many mice but i came always back to the gpx maybe the maya will be my end game mouse gpx is a great mouse but for example side buttons arent good for my grip style or the size could be a bit smaller maybe the maya is my conclusion

It’s a great mouse! Just not the one for me! My own personal preference shouldn’t hinder anyone else from trying it unless there’s an actual issue with the mouse! Hope it works for you!

Man, I am so stuck between the Atlantis Mini, Maya, Thorn and the GPX 1 but can't choose I have 18x10cm hands and a claw gripper but not sure what to choose wanted the Atlantis OG but the stock got recalled due to QC issues

@RiOTTT_NS for productivity, I use a G502 and for gaming a G102 due to the lifht weight I am starting to think about the lamzu thorn , atlantis mini or GPX 1 but dont want to go with the GPX 1 to be honest

@@ChR0ni1C__ if you want ergo I’d recommend the thorn. Maya’s going to be higher in the front then the Atlantis mini so depending on how you claw that might help you make a decision

Honestly, if you're using the NYF22 I would look into either an AJAZZ AJ199 or the Dareu A950 if you want a budget replacement. If you want a Lamzu mouse, the closest you'll get to a GPX shape is going to be the Maya. Just know that the sides of the mouse won't be as flat as a GPX or the NYF22. :)

@@mIkStAqT It's a great mouse, I like it a lot. but shape wise the Maya works better for me. It's imo the best released lamzu mice (have the atlantis mini pro, the thorn, and the may feels like a great advance on both, unless ergonomics with a bump it's your first choice - then I would go thorn even over the ninjutsu sora (again a great mouse but I'll still keep the Maya - or the thorn - on the table instead). The maya for my use is the best mouse for my gaming, even having less powerful sensors than the Razer's Focus Pro ith 30k dpi and astonishing 8kzh polling rate with the latest (november 2023) firmware update, but I'm still testing it to see if it's worth it or not, and even the hero 2 at 32k dpi of the gpx 2 with half of the polling rate offered by ninjutsu and lamzu. It's my choice over the razer's only because of size and shape and ofc it performs wonderfully. But for larger hands than mine, even a Vaxee AX may perform better than mice with superior tech; I can say that for sure cause I have a "mini" AX, the NP-01s, and it feels and performs as much as good as the tech giants, at a 1kzh polling rate and 26k dpi - and you don't need the extra 4kzh (now 8kzh in razers like dav3 pro, viper 2 pro, the cobra which I simultaneously love and hate, the basilisk v3 pro - which I don't use for gaming but it's my everyday common/office task mouse of preference) dongle if you're travelling and gaming in your travels. For going abroad with, there are no better mice than the vaxee zygen NP-01s. Maybe the Sora, but without the 4kzh dongle, but I feel that bump less comfortable; the gpx 2 would also be a great choice as it does have inside the hero 2 sensor and 2kzh without any other dongle but it's own 2,4ghz usb connector, but the no is it's size, too big for this option - plus I, loving the mouse, do have issues with the Lightforce hybrid optical-mechanical switches as they're loud as hell. Is coating smooth like on red version?

If the red is the same as the white it’s definitely not as smooth. More rubberized which makes the mouse more grippy but also makes fingerprints show up everywhere.

Shape is the preferance. I hate ANY kind of front flares like on HTX, I mean a hourglass shape where mouse gets wider towards the front. I have my pinky behind the ring finger in the middle of the mouse while ring finger sits on the wider front. This makes me to forcefully push my pinky into the mouse. Then I have little to zero control of the mouse and get real pain. With that said I have no problem with Maya because it has barely any front flare, its the same width in the front as in the middle.

It was the only downside for me but like you said it’s all preference! I wanted to enjoy the maya more but it just wasn’t for me. Glad you enjoy it!

If we’re being technical the GPX2 is better but latency is so good at this point that it’s not a significant factor. They’re both extremely good

@@RiOTTT_NS the GPX 2 switches are not entirely optical, quite the opposite the lightforce switches are a hybrid use of mechanical and optical switches, in order to obtain, I quote Logitech "ultimate gaming performance with unprecedented speed, precision, and reliability-and incredibly definitive actuation feedback". Guess it didn't happen quite as good as they wished, even considering that in all in all taken in measure it's no doubt a top tier mice regarding performance (even if with a polling rate of 2 kzh when razer has now most of it's "pro" mice after firmware update - I think it was released in November this year - can get as much as 8kzh (dav3, v2pro, the debatable cobra pro, basilisk v3 pro, naga pro. Still wireless vaxee like the NP-01S are just 1kzh and 26k dpi speed, and they're surely under my umbrella of prime choices), as the clicks are loud as heck.

Overall, it’s a really good mouse. Just felt awkward to me. I know for many others it’s their in end game so ultimately my review is partially based off on my own preference. Glad you like it!

Yes, the Maya is a little smaller in length and has a lower hump in the back compared to the GPX

Honestly if it was a little bigger and more flat on the sides it would’ve easily replaced the HTX for me. But the HTX will continue to be my mini mouse for now

To be honest it's not a GPX killer for me. Every other mice I've tried that's not from Logitech, Razer or FinalMouse has such a bad battery life even at 1K hz. I had to charge my thorn every three days or so which is nothing compared to the GPX which I only have to charge once per week and even two weeks sometimes. I mean charging every three days or so is totally fine but for $80-100 I can also just buy a GPX1 and get the insane battery life and motion delay and click latency. I also really don't know why they decided to go with mechanical switches again on the Maya after the opticals felt so good to me on the Thorn. The first thing I want to fail in my mouse is the battery, not the clicks.. Nonetheless shape is everything anyways :D

That’s fair, honestly I know a lot of people compared the shape to the GPX and said it’s a GPX mini but it’s really not. Maybe in terms of it being smaller but the sides in comparison aren’t close at all. Also, I appreciate the comment because I tend to not talk about the battery but if that’s a factor for some then it’s something I can talk about more. I would also agree that the Thorn opticals felt really good so I’m not sure why they didn’t continue the same path but the huano mechanicals have been a safe option this year so maybe they did it as a safe option. Either way, I agree. Shape is king!

I've completely solved this problem by buying two of these. As soon as one runs out of battery I grab the fully charged one and swap. This method is not for the dirt poor.

Not at all, I don’t think I’ve been able to palm anything but the Thorn lately. I might have a little more palm support on the GPX but that’s about it. It might’ve just been the way I was trying to show the issue I was having. But the way the Maya curves on the inner right side of the mouse just forces my pinky and ring finger into each other. Even if I aggressive claw at first, my fingers naturally start running into each other from the shape. I tend to have a more relaxed claw but based off of my hand size and the way I naturally grip a mouse just causes my fingers to run into each other. 😔

Sounds like the problem isnt the shape it's the size - too small for your hand size.
