It annoys me that the other heroes are so incapable. Not just in the "you aren't supposed to like them" way, but also in the "these guys are having their own adventures too; why was it written that the defensive hero can still do more damage than all three combined?"

@@a_person4742 I mean, one of them literally lead a revolution, and it's not as if the sword hero failed to kill the dragon (I mean yes, it returned, but he would still have gotten xp). Even with some very generous leeway on much xp they can expect to get from their missions, it still doesn't make sense to me that the damage based classes would somehow be so incredibly behind Naofumi that they can't actually deal damage. That would suggest that literally all they've done is sit on their asses, but again, we know that isn't the case; they have been exploring and killing monsters and whatnot, AND they were allowed to (and a high enough level to) use those evolution/level up whatever it was called from that church place.

It is fitting, considering Natural is a song about rising up against adversity. And considering how much of an unexpected masterpiece Rising of the Shield Hero is, this just makes my day in more ways than one. I applaud you, good sir.

Natural is about being Naturally cold hearted and not caring for those around you to make the most out of the power and status you are given, more a statement about Hollywood and fame than anything. it is similar to their song "Gold" talking about how even when things look fanciful at the top, the expectations can kill what you are and want to be. Naofumi is anything but cold hearted, as he shows multiple times in the anime that he thinks of those around him, even if he is scared of getting burned again after what happened with Myne and the King. i really cant say i agree with the equivalence that everyone puts on this song, if they showed more Wrath Series moments maybe, as that is when he could be called cold hearted, or uncaring, other than that the character really doesnt match. and they only showed one of his first Wrath series moments.

Really dont understand why everyone keeps saying Naofumi is Cold Hearted, you see multiple times through the anime that he cares and thinks of everyone around him. simply that he is afraid of getting burned again. he acts a lot more harsh than he is. he isnt naturally cold hearted or uncaring as the song implies which makes me really question the intelligence of using this song, if they showed more wrath series moments maybe, as that is when it could apply more. but even then it doesnt apply very well.

he is still technically weak on his own. he cant deal much damage or deal with groups on his own. not without major set up. The thing is that he is just clever and learned to utilize what he has to its fullest. where as the other heros utilize one or two abilities they consider to be really strong, like the Meteor series of spells and attacks. Naofumi uses defensive spells flexibly and does what he can to hold off or damage his opponent so they make more mistakes.

Anyone else believe Naofumi is a god to all tanks and that this anime not only shows how badass he is and how strong a Shield can be but shows in Mmorpg games and games alike mmorpg games that the Tank is one of the most needed in a party when fighting a boss or lvling and if you want proof well look at the Three Stooges Dumb, Dumb, and Dumber they barely make it through the last two waves if not for Naofumi they would have been food for the monsters
