Well Rob did give them a pretty good thrashing on multiple occasions. I am not saying they weren’t warranted The clapped out Jeep Cherokee on Super Bowl weekend a few years ago, the Red Nissan Versa debacle at the Atlanta airport where he had to pay for the parking and the ford mustang roush level 3 scam and not to mention the story analysis over the years. So they got butt hurt and maybe to finally stop renting to him.

I got this every time I tried to rent because I hit a deer with a car from Turo. That was two years ago. And I have a feeling that my insurance won't cover it because it's been sitting there for so long. I don't know what's going on but that same message pops up for me. Make sure to opt for the insurance if you are getting Turo folks, your personal insurance might not cover it.

Same thing here. Had two accounts that shared the same phone number. Going on 5 years now and i can not get it straghted out. Ive called, ive emailed, and also done the chat. They wont undo the ban. So frusteratring. They have to keep their prices low to compete with the big players. Im renting a C8 out in Vegas from Enterprise for $268. I remember paying $600ish back in 2015 for a C7. Crazy.

Turo is over-populated in many areas especially LA which is leading to desperate owners dropping prices to make their payments. Not profitable to be a host in these areas for sure

Just placed an order to rent a minivan on Turo for my Disney World trip in Florida. Will see how it goes this is my first time personally renting a car 👍🏼 luckily state farm covers Turo rentals if you have full coverage

Be sure to read the fine print on that policy. StateFarm is one of the slimiest insurance companies there is. Not to mention they are the reason why insurance companies now are mandated to offer depreciated value.

I remember one video in part. Renter Mustang is modded, claims dynoed hp, can tracking w addtl fee, low miles, no damage and not beat on. Robs gets it, nowhere near claimed HP, wasn't cleaned from last renter etc......And she gets real offended and bans him from renting again. You forget that the point of Turo is not to have dedicated cars for rent, it is to rent your own car out when you are not using it. $100 a day for a Corvette is cheap, but if someone rents it out a few times a month to help cover the payments and they otherwise wouldn't be driving it then they are just doing so to lower their cost of ownership. They didn't buy the Corvette just for Turo.

You are right...the original idea for Turo is exactly like you explained it but it has created a whole industry of people creating rental fleets being marketed through Turo (FYI...Turo has actively marketed it this way). It's just like Uber. The initial idea was to create an app for people that were driving from point A to point B. They could enter that into the app and others might say "Hey I am nearby of point A and need to get to point B, Ill give you a couple of bucks and we are both happy" It was a very "hippy" idea. Of course it just turned into a taxi service. Great comment BTW.
