Great video, thanks for sharing. Did you visit during the beginning, middle, or end of July? How was the weather? Did it rain a lot?

Thanks for watching! We went July 11-18. It only rained about 2 out of the 8 days we were there which is considered lucky. Usually it rains a little more than that in July. The good thing is the weather is still warm and you can swim under the rain. It clears up pretty fast and everything dries up due to the high humidity levels.

Quick question - I see that some villas are accessed from the beach (but are still considered over water) and then there are others arranged in a circle around a boardwalk which are more out in the ocean (and obviously over water) - what's the difference, apart from the access point? Are the room descriptions different? Thank you.

Hello. The rooms with the beach access are not labeled as over water. Every room at the Ritz Maldives has its own pool however, the rooms with the beach access have the additional space with the sand and ocean. You can lounge in front of your room. Also, the beach rooms are grouped in 4 or 5’s so only the rooms in that section have access to that specific beach area for a little more privacy! Rooms over the water are visible by all with public access. We wanted a more private room so we chose the beach front villa with a Sunrise room. The sunset rooms are the boat paths so you often see a lot of boat traffic on that end.
