The River Beach of Mourão

The River Beach of Mourão (Praia Fluvial de Mourão in Portuguese) is located in Mourão, in the district of Évora. It was awarded with a blue flag and has 320 meters of sand and turf, of which 100 meters are guarded. It is the only river beach on an island, in which there is a floating pool and a floating platform with a slide. It has an easy access, both to the beach by ramp, and to the water, through the use of the existing amphibious chair. The surrounding landscape of the beach is the water of Europe's largest artificial lake: the Alqueva. The arrival at the River Beach of Mourão can also be made by the water, due to the proximity of the pier of Mourão.
