(70's-80's) Most beautifull polyphonic synth ever.....
@saladdays180s96 жыл бұрын
Was salivating about the Moog One at Gearsluts, and so many on the site kept on referring to the River by Baloran. I had no idea this synth existed. I like the sound of the River to be frank. Both my kids are named with river themes. Rio and Nile Gonna purchase one just because the name seems to be good omen for me. I have two CS-80's, a LAMM Memorymoog,, a Schmidt, and an Andromeda just to name a few. The River belongs in the company of those synths. This Baloran has such warm sound.. Finally!!!

Adam Vincz I wish they had a US Distributer. Dont like handing someone 2k and crossing my fingers I get something in a couple of months.
@saladdays180s96 жыл бұрын
Certainly is a valid statement. I waited with knots in my stomach for the Schmidt and the Knifonium. That being said they both arrived eventually, and are wonderful. The Knifonium even started smoking after an issue inside the unit. I literally saw my beloved investment going up in smoke. The beauty in going with a boutique instrument maker, is that after an inquiry with Jonte, the brainchild behind the Knifonium, he diagnosed the issue and made me the replacement part, and sent an extra for good measure. Stefan Schmidt even sent a present to show his appreciation for my patronage. The being said, I think it is wise to do some background inquiries on folks with whom you trust your money. My gamble paid off. My original post was just due to my original delight in hearing the Baloran, and I hope they are successful delivering it to those who have sent a deposit. For the record, I don't think you and go wrong with the Moog One if you are looking at getting a flagship synth made in the good ol USA. It is a masterpiece integrating so many fine elements, and it remains on my wish lists well.

Very similar to a Moog architecturally. It is actually based on the architecture of the Moog The Source.

@pascalum7 жыл бұрын

It´s not SEM quality on the filter, but still pretty darn good!
@coyotesynth5 жыл бұрын
Each voice of The River is basically a Moog Source . As the Moog Source has a 24dB filter, this is not a SEM clone.
@jonathanosborn48002 жыл бұрын
If by quality we mean different types, then yes its not the same. If we mean better or worse, I think these filters sound fabulous. If i can only own one poly with one filter slope, ill go 12db or 18. But sometimes this is the sound you want!

Prophet 5 vibes. Do we know what oscillators it’s got?
@coyotesynth5 жыл бұрын
OLFACTORY RECORDS the River voicecard is a clone of the Moog Source. Same discrete design. Some additional features though: filter enveloppe can be reversed, PWM can be modulated by analog LFO (it was static in the Source) and the FM filter did not exist on the original design (it means vco2 can modulate the filter)
@evildead20025 жыл бұрын
coyotesynth cool. Are we talking all the usual saw, square etc? Or anything new?
@coyotesynth5 жыл бұрын
@@evildead2002 The VCO offers the same Source waveforms: Triangle, Saw and Square with PWM. These are really a faithful re-issue of the Moog Source oscillator section.

@coyotesynth7 жыл бұрын
@liviou20047 жыл бұрын

@coyotesynth7 жыл бұрын
@wackenthaljef7 жыл бұрын

Sigh....you had me at 1:12
@lambertlambert70766 жыл бұрын
@FK-ve2cf6 жыл бұрын
@sK3LeTvM13 жыл бұрын
Overrated, overpriced. Just put a Summit aside and conclude for yourself. Unless you believe in the myth of analog.
@snuppssynthchannel3 жыл бұрын
With oscillators chips from the Moog the source and 24db ladder moog filters, this thing sounds more organic and vintage then any other synth in production today.
