Thanks Andy, yeah the esk has some nice grayling in it, the Tyne is a river I'm looking to fish this season heard there's some decent sea trout

What fly did you use mate, I've been fishing the Esk for quite a bit now and can't get a take despite lots of fish rising and being around me.

Hi Russell, I find grey dusters or hares ear are the go to fly for me on the esk. Size 14 or up work best with 3lb leader. It can be testing at times but keep at it, tight lines 🎣

@@casterblaster9496 Magic, thanks a lot, I'll give those a go. I get out mostly at night and sometimes early in the morning. It's a cracking wee river to wade through and hit some of the hard to reach spots and has encouraged me to fly fish more as I'm used to other methods. I'll probably be in touch for more tips mate.

@@russellmurray657 I was down today saw loads rising but had the kids with me so it was hard to concentrate, plus loads of dog walkers. I find the bits you can access with waders are usually the best spots to fish. Great wee river just a shame about the pollution that keeps going on. Give me a shout mate anytime 🎣

@@casterblaster9496 Thanks, will do. I've got a wee pool that I'm targeting as there are lots of rises in that part of the river. I'll keep you updated if I get it, it's now a vendetta between me and the fish there. I think they are taking the piss out of me 😁. Shame to hear about the pollution too, hopefully it doesn't affect the health of the fishing 👍

@@casterblaster9496 That's me in mate, caught handful at the weekend. All returned safely and all beautiful wee brownies. Had a number on which I lost and there were plenty of rises. Looking forward to catching a Grayling at some point too. Superb!
