Something seems very off about feeding Kelts for future spawn,just a fact that Atlantic salmon die albeit some will survive,could be counterproductive and watering down the gene pool

Feeding Kelts with naturall food is not a bad thing. In actual fact without hatcheries like this there would certainly be less fish around the Tay system and watering down the gene pool is not accurate either as they use different cock fish for the hen fish every year. Thing is with salmon fishing is that your never too far away from a good dose of negativity........
