Yes, the river will remember, because the tides fill the shore, collect all the information of everything that had happened so far and goes back to store all it has gathered on the 'hard disk' of time. It then 'sends the ebb away', returns again as full tide to collect the next batch of information; so the river is bound to remember because Mother Nature is very wise 🙂
