Great video! The engine looks so well cared for. The end of the video with the drone footage of the bridge is spectacular. I would love to learn more about that bridge too.

Tocumwal is a lovely town - a great real opportunity was missed when it was decided not to use that line as part of the inland rail route to Brisbane! Anyway great video mate!

Nope, His father George W Coles moved to Tasmania after selling his first store to George.J. in 1910 then he moved to Wilmott and opened another store according to Coles's official history. Does that fit in with the date the Wilmott store was established? I know histories often get twisted in the name of tourism :)
@patrickhankin99032 жыл бұрын
@@ausfoodgarden Don't know much about the Wilmott store history. The locals were always adamant that it was GJ Coles who set it up. The original store burnt down about 10 years ago

Excellent video. What are your thoughts on upgrading your room for this trip compared to the Grainlander?
@WillJamesRailways Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Well, as a Railfan and someone who travelled on these with a second back with all my cameras, I much preferred sleeping in Wando, even though it was cold I liked the space! I would probably still like to try a bigger room in on of the overland cars just to see how it would be!
@DanTheRailFanMan85 Жыл бұрын
@@WillJamesRailways thanks for your feedback. From what I saw in your video the bed looked smaller. The layout of Wando I find appealing. And of course the opening window's. I'm guessing in Wando you had all your gear charging by power banks etc?
