I visited that area from the UK, it was a pilgrimage for me, a few weeks ago, we stopped at all of those locations from Gyantse to Lhasa, after attending Saga Dawa. Tashi dalek. Wonderful visit.

Stunning scenery, especially that lake towards the end. It must have been very difficult to construct a road of such quality in a climate like that let alone maintain it in fine condition.
