Unlike alliteration, consonance focuses on the repetition of consonant sounds anywhere within a word, not just at the beginning. Example: 1. Mike likes his bike. 2. She ate seven apples. In summary, alliteration emphasizes the repetition of initial consonant sounds at the beginning of words, while consonance focuses on the repetition of consonant sounds within words, regardless of their position.
