The Road To Canada Part 2 - Walking Across The Border - Visiting Lake Ontario and More!

In today's video, I finally get to walk across the border into Canada. While in Canada we check out the amazing views of Niagara Falls from a park that is just a short walk from the border. Then we head a few miles down the road to Fort Niagara State Park to see Lake Ontario for the first time. We also check out Whirlpool State Park on the way back to Niagara Falls. Once we make it back to town, we stop at Mario's for some Amazing Vegan pizza.

Wow! I cannot believe that you went over to the Canadian side and did not walk to the edge of the Horseshoe Falls, where you can get safely to within twenty feet of where the water goes over the edge! very spectacular being that close and of course the sound! Next time! 😅

Fun video! Canada is awesome 🙂 True story on walking across the bridges if you are not American or Canadian! You walk across (either side) and then get declined entry into the other country as walking in does not count and most tourists don't have visas or even passports on them. Then they go back and the other country denies them entry. Eventually they get in lol. Did you see the UN Nations land between the two countries? Marked by flags. Getting late in the season but if you want to kayak camp with me next year September to early October is best we are about a 5 hour drive from the Falls.

I believe the story about walking across. I did a terrible job at showing how it all worked, but we ended up having to walk back to Canada to use an atm machine and get cash to pay a Canadian dollar to then get back into the USA. Good news is that I have plenty of Canadian money left to bring with me next time. I'll have to look through my footage for the UN land marked by flags. I don't recall seeing it at the time. I would totally do a kayak trip. After visiting, we definitely plan on going back up north a couple times a year. We're just under 5 hours from Niagara Falls. Inga already has some Vegan restaurants marked up in Hamilton and Toronto to visit.

@@ChrisThePlantBasedRunner No idea about Hamilton (not the greatest place) but Toronto has loads and loads. We are now closer to Ottawa. In about 4 weeks it is too cold to paddle and until the end of July it is too buggy but you are both more than welcome. In a week I'm uploading the Mississippi Canoe Trip by Kayak. The Bon Echo and Kashwakamak Lakes are close to us
