I'm going this mid-October I want to know how long did it take you from the base to the lake? I am considering hiking it but I have a 2 year old with me, though I have a hiking carrier, do you think we can manage it just by hiking or is horseback much better?

Hi, once you arrive to the base camp by bus, there are two separate paths to reach the lake, one on foot and the other on horseback (7000 tenge). With the horse it took me about 20 minutes, it was very fun. I haven't done the other route but I think it's an easy dirt road.
