11:55 Poseidon isn't only the god of the seas, he's also god of earthquakes, horses and storms, which is why Poseidon's rage is lightning, it's intended to be a thunderstorm i think. Zeus is the god of the sky, lightning, thunder, law and order, he's also king of the gods, so there's a bit of crossover between Poseidon and Zeus when it comes to lightning.

The earthquake thing is also a crossover with Hades IIRC. Which would make sense, as there was a sect in early Ancient Greece that worshipped Orcus, who was a deity who represented what Hades and Poseidon represented until later generations evolved the god into separate beings.

A little bit of advice: 1. You can use R1 combined with roll to make your movement faster. Just roll and then tap R1 and then roll again. Keep doing this for as long as you wish. 2. Try grabbing the enemies that goes underground and spin attacks you. 3. Try tapping circle faster with Poseidon's Rage to maximize its AOE. 4. Get good Good luck Mati

For Tip 1, you can also roll then tap square and immediately roll again. The R1 roll is obviously easier but the roll square roll is also pretty fast, and works in every game as well.

52:50 remember that THIS is the correct way of fighting harder enemies like this, the blades are a long range weapon and the square, square, triangle combo is short to evade afterwards and stuns almost all the enemies in the game, REMEMBER THAT. You were losing just because you were using just weak square attacks and attacking in close range. EDIT: 1:11:01 also about that fight with those enemies: yes, this game is clunky at times, but the game gives you the resources to brute force through those fight, in this case you were unlucky for not having magic, but also you could use the archers to throw them to the enemies, it does decent damage and you have i-frames during the animation. Also you can grab the spinning enemies I think and you can almost spam that grab, because you have i-frames in there too. But yes, those guys sucks lol and be prepared to use well your resources and moves, because there is a lot of enemies and fights like that in the next games.

Even grabbing an enemy that can't be grabbed can cancel difficult attacks and provoke an attack you can take advantage of. It's like the original Sekiro.

The L1 attacks lock you up in an animation, and you can't block until is finished. When you need to fight fast enemies use short combos, and only connect the L1 attacks when you see an opening. Remember to try and grab the enemies, some can be easier that way and some can't be grabbed. Once you understand combat and the enemies you're facing it becomes easier. I think the second game is easier on hard.

Hey, I've noticed that you seem to like the triple heavy combo so here's a quick tip that the game doesn't tell you : you can actually link this triple heavy combo from a single light attack, it makes it much smoother and less risky, instead of Kratos awkwardly trying to start the combo with a slow and heavy swing that leaves him vulnerable.

as someone who beated the classics god of wars on the hardest mode the best piece of advice i can give you is 1. keep your enemies the most of the time possible in mid air, that strategy works through all the olds god of wars, that way you will keep your enemies from hitting you but you will still be able to hit them 2. heavy atacks (triangle) are the most usefull atacks on the game since the square atacks have low damage and your enemies have a lots of health in the hard modes. heavy atacks will also help you to get your enemies to the air 3. be carefull with the combos atacks (L1 and square or L1 triangle, etc) they are really cool but since you can't block using them they make you very vulnerable to enemies atacks, because of them you were having a hard time with those legyionaries underground enemies. so give preference to the normal combos like triangle triangle triangle or square square triangle try to hit always the tringle atacks since they will cause a lots of damage. really hope you can have a good time with this game and im really exited to you play the gow2 since he is the second best of the old series and good luck on your playtrough

Absolutely no shame in not beating these on the hardest difficulties. These were the OG hard games before Souls and I still think the hardest modes are harder than Souls games.

That's cuz Dark Souls games aren't hard, they are on normal difficulty. People are just not used to old school game designs which is why they think it's hard. Also God of War has a lenient save system, dark souls would had made you kill all the 3 big minotaurs at the start of the pandora temple and then those wraiths until you find a save point. Different types of difficulty.

Yeah shoulda kept it at normal difficulty 😂. Especially streaming it on ps5. Game doesn’t get easier but you can still improve for sure. Can’t wait for the next 🔥 Ps: the L1+ square move is decent but it leaves you wide open and ur just vulnerable. When you’re surrounded by enemies like you were towards the end try to single one out by keeping them in the air and damaging them during that. ( ie: holding triangle to launch you and the enemy in the air.) also you can grab enemies while they are in the air.

Big tip: doing those super long attacks is leaving you open, the game does reward an aggressive play style, as you might've noticed you get extra red orbs the higher you can get your combo counter, but too much aggression will get you punished, on top of those archers that were breaking your gaurd with their explosive arrows, even when they get deflected they stick to the ground and detonate, and i believe you can grab weaker enemies like the archers and just get them out of the way right off the bat. Another tip: if you already have enough health/magic, it's better to finish off minotaurs and gorgons traditionally rather than doing the mini game so they'll give you red orbs instead. Im really liking your videos man, your enthusiasm for these games is just really engaging, you don't even see that with the bigger KZbinrs, i can't wait until you get to the third game, you'll absolutely love it, they straight crank up the badassery in that one

Dont go to easy - you cant change it back after! You can do it bro, just adapt, try and read the enemy attacks and as everyone's already said use grab attacks! Works on most enemies except large/armoured ones. If you remember back you were using grabs on the harpies loads at the start for one shot kills.

Not sure if you saw my comment on the first video so I'll repost it here as it is quite important for the God of War series: I recommend to not forget the 2 PSP titles and God of War Ascension in your journey. They add so much to Kratos as a character If you don't have a PSP you can play the games on PPSSPP (a free PSP emulator) or if you have a PS3, they did port the games to that platform (though idk how easy it'd be to source the games since I doubt they're purchasable on the PSN store)

Hey Mati, just a tip. On harder difficulties, if you grab an enemy then press square to throw them, if this throw hits a group of enemies, the collision damage from the throw will do insane damage. The harder the difficulty, the higher the damage you can do with collision damage

Don't go in easy mode, it will make the game tasteless. Pandora temple is a difficulty spike, you will get the hang of it (short combos are indeed more usefull in this difficulty). I could also advise you to always kill the archers first (they don't have infinite respawn most of the time). Spartan mode is the way to go ! :)
