“The Body Keeps the Score” by Bessel Van der Kolk. Trauma and how our bodies are affected. I truly believe that we don’t get pass things by pretending or simply through the passage of time. What’s small to one is traumatic to another. The body responds for a lifetime without help to promote healing.

AMEN! Lecrae has been such a huge inspiration since Real talk. I am in the same boat, much of my family is restored from me trying to restore it, the lack of love and academia, I can now say with many Quality careers along with great family and friends, (though still not easy) can say by Gods grace I am who I am today because of the deep prayers, hard work and allowing Him to change our hearts to see like Him and not of ourselves. Restoration comes through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. TO ALL: Don't ever stop praying and getting on your knees. Lecrae's success is not of this world, it's from his heart to humble himself and allowing God to use him. Two totally different things. I empathise with him.

Thank you for the behind the scene of this album, you have been one of the realest Christian artists out there, i love your music and i thank God for you and pray He keeps you in the fold despite and inspite of. They may be another Lacrea but you just have your gifting in providing a realness to struggling christians, we paint it like it's a bed of roses yet the thorns are killing us underneath and we hide the ugly parts because we mistake and have been mistaken as perfect by being a follower of Christ. The struggle is real, been there 7 years now. Things seem to be getting better and i hope they do but thank you for reminding me restoration is an on going process, i will keep in mind not have fear or feel defeated if i ever find myself here again i will trust the journey is to build me not break me and it is also my deepest prayer what i have gone through will not be swept under the rug but used to restore someone else. Thank you, God bless and keep on, authenticity to self is the greatest freedom.

"For all things I count as loss"...you've inspired a lot of lives, not to die for others' acceptance, you've shared your struggles unlike others who would hold back and all you have done has just been so inspirational. Despite heavy criticism stayed true to yourself and taken the gospel beyond I could think (my high school friends actually loved Lecrae from "Broke") and wow...that's just a lot to take it. You've been God blessed and it has always shown in every way, and we are forever proud of Lecrae. And we will always be. Amen!
@morangealexis12934 жыл бұрын
Hi Lecrae, thank you from all my heart for this documentary. You shared lot of your private life and some of the struggles you’ve been through. I was really touched when you met your father. It means so much, especially in the life of a man, to meet and to know his father in law. Don’t know why but that’s how it is. I think that it’s a first step you made in the restoration of your relationship with him. You said in the interview that your father can now be like your friend, that you don’t need a biological father anymore, in the past you would have needed but now it’s too late. I see myself a few years ago when you say that. I know every story is different, and I don’t want to make a rule from what I experienced, but here’s a little part of my story. A few years ago, with the help and the grace of God, I forgave my father. The hate I gave to my father was huge but God delivered me totally and I was able to forgive him. I met him, all the hate was gone, but after our meeting I said to God that I am thankful that he helped me to forgive my father but now I don’t need a father anymore. I needed a father when I was a child, a teenager, to play with me, love me, help me to find my way, but now I’m too old already. A few months later, God spoke to me and showed me that my father is truly my father and I need to love him and consider him like my father. So I asked God to put love in me for my father because I didn’t feel anything for him. Today I have a long way before me. It’s not easy to love his father, but I believe that God will keep restoring this relationship. And I hope, I believe that he will keep restoring your relationship with your father also. Philippians 1.6 « being confident of this very thing, that he which began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ. » What I’m scared of today, is not to be a good father to my children, but I can only trust Jesus that he will help me. What I saw is that you seem to be a really good father to your children. That gives me hope. We don’t know each other but I’m thankful for what God has made and is making in your life and through your life. Cheers.
