Lovely trip, I had a fab week in Skye about a month ago and stayed in the newish community run camp site at Broadford. the C&CC site was full. The site was Ok, a bit pricey and the pitches were narrow. The weather was great with only a rainy day or two. The gardens at Armadale and Dunvegan Castles were fantastic with Rhododendrons and Azaleas in full bloom. I look forward to the rest of your trip.

Another great travel video. I dred to think how many times I have crossed the Skye bridge over the last couple of years, especially as I personally haven't been within 100 miles of it. Between you, Dougal(oh and Andrew Ditton) and numerous other youtubers, I'm nearly worn out. I never tire of "driving " that road with you all.

Thank you for sharing this journey with us and we hope you all have a wonderful time on the Islands. The first time we visited Skye we had to take the Ferry because the bridge was not there. And yes when it first opened it was £10, for the first few years ( think the ferry used to cost £5. ) before they made it free. However with how busy Skye is getting these days maybe it should only be free for the locals and have a charge for touris ? We are enjoying watching your videos Atb :D Teddy

ron johnson A 24 foot caravan would be considered a Static here in the UK 🇬🇧
@ronjohnson20735 жыл бұрын
xVSupremacy I am a little confused by the term “Static caravan”. I looked this up on Wikipedia to see what it means in the U.K. and the description of a Static Caravan is one that is to be transported to a semi permanent location and it remains there for a long period of time. That description doesn’t fit Our “caravan” . Here in the USA, our RV is called a travel trailer and it is somewhat small in comparison to average RVs here in the USA. We have owned several RVs including a folding tent trailer, a Class C motorhome, a fifth wheel travel trailer, a 19 foot travel trailer and out current trailer. We borrowed several of my parent’s Class A motorhomes when our children were young. After our daughter we’re older, we took them camping in tents and they enjoyed that experience too.

We have just returned from Skye , there was nowhere to park our caravan so the lady in the little Kiosk shop advised we park where we could . The Co op. At Kyle of Lochalsh has some lovely fresh produce etc is well stocked and top quality .

Bob how often and when do you tow your car ? We are nearly set up for everything just like a bit of advice about size at campsites etc ?
@BobEarnshawMoHo5 жыл бұрын
We tend to use the towed car when we are at shows for longer, like when we go to shows, in the winter or when we are at places with narrow roads. Probably take the car half the time we go away
