Did you get any Tornado damage Friday? Frederick county got hit hard in some areas
@jeffbaker28974 жыл бұрын
Hodge's Hot Wheels and diecast No tornado but we did have high winds anywhere from 45 to 70 knots in spots, some trees down in some areas around Eastern shore, here in Wicomico Co. and surrounding counties minor flooding, but drying out fairly well. If ya did have the Australian Falcon coupe at OC cruiser week I have no doubt that you would get public attention for sure, that would be super! I know that Md Rt. 528 Ocean hwy , you would have to do a hole shot or two somewhere on that road, LOL 😆, It’s hard to resist! I used to have a 67 Caddy, 429cid, 4bbl, dual exhaust, living room on wheels 😆, loved cruising on Balt Ave & Philadelphia Ave (Md. 528). But the OC police, Wor Co sheriff dept & M S P were in full force and SHA had a fake work zones set up in spots to cut down on drag racing , makes it more of a pain in the ass for cruisin around also. Well George, you take care& be careful on the roads this week buddy, see ya on your next build.😎👍👍👍🚗

I´ve been a fan of this movie for almost forty years, and I loved this car all the way. You made the most perfect replica I've seen, so far. The only thing missing was: you should have put the effort in to cut out the passenger door, so the dog seat can be seen attached to it, when you open it up..., and..., the knife underneath the fuel tank! George, what did you do to the lights? They look like they're lit with leds. The Mad Max stuff isn't really my thing but this one looks good. The original paint seems to have helped you out and it took the washes perfectly. Does anyone do 1:64 scale figures of the guy and the dog? That would finish it off perfectly. Cheers for now, Dougie.
@hodgeshotwheelsanddiecast51924 жыл бұрын
Hey Dougie, i just used standard Vallejo white on the headlights with the Vallejo rust wash over them. You know i Have a 1/64 mad max figure that came with one of the Greenlight Falcons.
@2H80vids4 жыл бұрын
@@hodgeshotwheelsanddiecast5192 It might be worth trying that same technique on a more "normal" custom; the lights look fantastic. Maybe it's just the lighting or the camera but they really do look "lit" in the reveal shot. If you decide to use the Mad Max figure, you might get a suitable dog from Preiser or one of the other model railway suppliers. Ho(1:87) or OO(1:76) might look slightly under-sized but you could possibly find something suitable. Alternatively, the Matchbox 42B Studebaker or 64B MG had dogs; could maybe do something clever with one of them. As usual George, I'm just thinking aloud.😁 Cheers for now, Dougie.

looks awesome! I have to re-watch the movies and see if I can identify what they used... btw, does anyone know what the "Enemy car" was based upon? I caught the "Interceptor and Enemy Car" combo box by Minichamps a while ago and am a curious feline. :) ...west virginia prybar? XD
@hodgeshotwheelsanddiecast51924 жыл бұрын
The enemy car is based off a Landau, which is a high end Falcon (Mercury maybe?)from what i read
@hodgeshotwheelsanddiecast51924 жыл бұрын
Its A Ford not Mercury.

@@hodgeshotwheelsanddiecast5192 thank you! ^^ I thought the nose looked familiar... in germany we call it the "Knudsen-Nose", even though Bunkie Knudsen had no chance to initiate it while he played boss at Ford's.

Heeler not Sheppard :P ;) but hey I live in South Australia and grew up climbing on a couple Mad max cars left on display at a few businesses in the 80's, Never owned an Falcons myself I'm a Holden man, had 8 Monaro's
@hodgeshotwheelsanddiecast51924 жыл бұрын
Hahaha. I don't know why i kept calling it a shepherd(brain fart) because my buddy has one that rides on the ATV's with us named Henry. I love the Holdens too. Id love to get my hands on a monaro or a Sandman one day. On a side note. Some of our Caprice Police cars over here are your 366hp LS powered Commodores. Im seeing them pop up on govt auction sites with only 100thousand miles for 4-5000 bucks. Thinking of picking one up since they are truly the last of the V8s

Brilliant build, mate. Awesome. Btw it’s pronounced ‘Dinky Die’. An old fashioned Australian term meaning genuine Aussie.

Is your favourite car the interceptor or the xb
@hodgeshotwheelsanddiecast51927 ай бұрын
Growing up as a kid ,I would say the interceptor. But now that I'm older I would love to have a regular XA,XB,or XC. But at 100k up to own one now. That will never happen...

You stole your daughters pencils to build this? Did you tell her to "just walk away!" while wearing an iron mask when you took them? 😂
@hodgeshotwheelsanddiecast51924 жыл бұрын
Hahaha! Unfortunately she woulda kicked me if i did that. I went more for the stealth approach. Kids always leave shit laying around 🤣🤣🤣🤣
