This is such a great tag! However, if I were to add places toured I would have a very long video! You have had a very interesting life, The World According To Garp is the only Irving Book I have read. I saw that terrible movie... "Squeal like a pig", was a bit traumatizing! Disney World New York sounds like such an interesting, cosmopolitan city. Such an interesting journey Greg, thanks for the video!

Nice one Greg. I'm 0 for whatever on these books but Deliverance and Power Broker are on my tbr. I just got a giant copy of Michener's Poland. I also worked at Borders Books for a while.

This is a fun tag! I like the idea of picking a book for every place you’ve lived. :) Maybe I’ll have to do this one. Ahh Deliverance. I haven’t read it, but I know the movie and the iconic squeal like a piggy scene.
@anotherbibliophilereads3 ай бұрын
The famous line “ squeal like a pig” was thought up on the spot while filming the scene . It wasn’t in the script or the novel.

This was cool. I need to read more books set in the western states. I haven't read much set in Colorado and Utah.

I haven’t read much either except The Shinning.

I’ve never read Owen Meaney but really should. I’ve very much enjoyed a few of Irving’s other books. On a different note: Crappy job indeed! What a great video, Greg!

Book Chat With Pat and I (maybe others) are reading Owean Meany in the fall. Tentatively September.

I knew that you would have really interesting responses to these prompts. Great video, Greg! I never lived in Maryland, but I had two families of cousins who did, and I spent quite a bit of time there at one time in my life. My college roommate lives in MD now too. I love that we both talked about John Irving's A Prayer for Owen Meany today! Yay! Yes, definitely, let's do a re-read in the fall! You've lived in a bunch of interesting places! I like that you included places where you almost lived too. Nice job, Greg!

I almost didn’t do the tag because there are too many places for a short video. I was I could have talked my next door neighbors in Florida: a stripper and her abusive ex-con boyfriend.

Great books. I wonder what happened to the extra 3 days when “6 Days of the Condor” was adapted for film?

IDK about the film version’s lost days.

If you're interested in books about the wobblies, I recommend The Cold Millions, by Spokane-based author Jess Walter. A novel set in his hometown in the early 1900s springing from real-life events.

The Kindle version of The Cold Millions was on sale today for $1.99. Sold! Thanks for the recommendation.
