It seems like there is some behind the scenes drama going on, both Andrew and Abby haven’t appeared in any new videos for nearly a month (the silent library video has been filmed in June 2023, it’s not actually new) and both removed YeahMad from their Instagram bios… Plus there are tons of comments here asking about them yet no response from the channel to any of them.

To be honest I don't enjoy roast battles and that library thing as much as try not to laugh and charades. The jokes in try not to laugh are much more chaotic and random and it gives you the feeling you are watching a great group of friends having fun, it just works because they have so much chemistry between them. At least that is why I prefer Yeah Mad's try not to laugh over others that tried to imitate them. The roast battles are too structured and timed. And the libray, well, I did not enjoy those kind of programs when it was on the TV in the past so I really think that is a step back for the channel.

This channel has a limited shelf life I think. They'll start to run short of ideas, so they'll try new styles, new guests to keep it fresh as they can, because if they did the same people every time it'd get repetitive. However they risk alienating the fanbase who were built around the OG Crew. Channel already feels like it's gone from fun stuff made with passion, to needing to figure out what comes next. We must remember, the dude in charge of this all calls the shots, and eventually like any channel it'll fall off in popularity. In 4-5 years it'll probably be some sad nostalgic relic.

The style of these videos, at least try not to laugh ones, reminds a lot of the early youtube stuff you'd see 10-15 years ago on the platform, thus in some certain way it is the exact reason why I think thede videos feel special, because there is not a lot of them in nowadays youtube. But there is a reason content creators needed to adapt and change their style in the past, and I do think it is what you just said.

Alan is the king of improv comedy. He's best when the bit is random and less structured. These roast battles are like stand up, where delivery has to fill up the space. Personally i prefer the random stuff because it feels like hanging with friends, but i don't run Yeah Mad. @@wvd07 i think it's more he has conceptual jokes that he can't edit down enough, which makes his delivery overwrought. He also transposes his meandering improv into his regular delivery. He's clearly doing that transpose as a bit, and it sometimes works. All depends on if he catches a rhythm or not. Recently not. The last Alan v Abby dad jokes was unhinged in the best way, but like that was all intuition and repeatedly commandeering the format.

I know others thought that the Alan vs Andrew fight was scripted, but my gut instinct at the time was that Alan really pissed off Andrew and struck a raw nerve...it's pretty clear that Sam and Abby are good friends with Andrew IRL. Abby and Alan have been strained since day 1 imho. Sammy is the type of person who just gets on with everyone...Sammy still has YeahMad affiliation on her IG btw...Abby and Andrew do not (and they used to).

Sath looks like he’s about to start a tech company, something you would more commonly associate with East Asians (although plenty of South Asians in tech too). Alan looks like he does Deliveroo/Uber Eats, something you’d more commonly associate with South Asians (Deliveroo riders usually ride bikes so wear helmets)

Both removed YeahMad from their Instagram bios and didn’t reply to any questions about their absence, and YeahMad did not respond to any of the hundreds of comments asking about them in this comment section. Plus someone on Reddit who’s friends with several cast members IRL said Abby and Hammo have left as well…
