There's a reason that Britain has comedians like this, I think, more so than in north america. A worked up rant style comedian is *very* British, and it does speak to that unconscious reserved "norm". If you spend most of your life being, essentially, pent up and not feeling allowed to go off on a tear, a rant, and then someone does it well, articulately, with clear wit and drives their point home with emphasis... well, it is admired by those who either do the same, or wish they could.

USA people love comedy they relate to on a deep, human level but have rarely gotten the chance to think about. They are bound by some hidden law within their own biology to cheer and do the whoops. I found this video much more awkward than the situation with the jokes... You should have just left it and spoken to him as if nothing happened and just expected him to take the joke as it was intended. I'm sure he doesn't give a crap, and if he does, who cares? This is not something that anyone should feel sorry for a millionaire movie star about. It's literally the definition of unimportant.

No, I completel understood the video. I just didn't find it funny. I've seen Jack do this bit or a variation of it so many times and I just don't think it's got any legs left in it. And the whole claim to be so embarrassed over it and that Pattinson might be super-offended, etc, just seems so pathetic to me, if it isn't all just fake drama for the sake of the joke, that is. He has lost my respect, if you tell jokes and jest about someone don’t say I regret in a video like this. Do a formal apology and try to turn a new leaf
