Rock suddenly loves Cody and Roman… even though he showed up just a couple months ago and did the threatening throat cutting gesture when Roman and Cody won their tag match. So either the Final Boss character is dead, or Rock is gonna come out and be like “Remember when I hugged Roman and said I love Cody now? I LIED! lol” They literally had Cody awkwardly sit in the crowd for that one segment just to show him mouth “thank you” to Rock, so the WWE universe knows that Cody is cool with him now and holds no harsh feelings towards him. Either the Final Boss is dead or he’s going to totally contradict what he said and did on Raw. Neither are good. He could have given the same exact promo he gave on Raw and then at the end said, “Btw Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns… don’t think I’ve forgotten we have unfinished business.” And everything would have been fine. Instead they basically killed off the coolest heel character they’ve had in decades.

No one gives a shit if guys don’t do kayfabe outside of the ring. The problem here was that Rock broke kayfabe on Raw. That’s a problem. Or when Rock handed Cody something the night after Mania and we never saw what it was. I guess that’s totally scrapped? So many are missing the point he was announced as The Director of The Board which is another eord for Chairman and The Final Boss of WWE= He has final say as the boss. He is showing you his role as the boss. Thats what hes doing. He works a lot behind the scenes on the business side of things. Vince was the Chairman. Hes the new Vince of the company. This means he's the highest chairman which makes sense as he's TKO Executive Chair and TKO CEO. Dana White is the CEO of UFC. He has no president but does have a CCO which is the role Paul L has. Neither of them are in the board. Vince was Chairman of WWE Kahn was president of WWE. Mark Shapiro is TKO president. The Rock is WWEs Director of The Board which if you look that up or read where I directly quoted it is Another term for Chairman. This would be of the WWE side just like Kahn is WWE, president, but Shapiro is TKO president. It is announced as he walks out and Ari and Mark hug him during the announcement of The Director of The Board which is not a director on the board. The Director of The Board means Chairman. Rock called his character the Final Boss because he was a heel. He was saying “I’m the main bad guy Cody has to beat, not Roman Reigns”. Yes it was a double entendre because he literally is in the position of boss in WWE. But “Final Boss” is in reference to him being the equivalent to the main villain the protagonist of a video game must defeat. This commenter is lamenting that this character is now apparently dead. Not just because of this video, but because of what he said and did on Raw. His official position in WWE has nothing to do with what people are unhappy about. They’re unhappy that an awesome heel character, and the best work Rock has done in a couple decades, has apparently been totally scrapped. They even made Cody awkwardly sit out in the crowd for this one segment just to show him say “thank you” to Rock, as a way to end the storyline and show Cody is cool with Rock now. Then they had him hug Roman. The badass Final Boss character is dead. That’s what people are unhappy and confused about. Especially since they had him make an appearance just a couple months ago to remind everyone he is still a part of this storyline and still a heel.

Did you ever see Vince show love to Stone Cold on Raw, completely disregarding their storyline? No. Because that would have ruined the storyline. What does Rock’s position behind the scenes have anything to do with what happens inside the ring on Raw? THAT is what people are talking about. Not just this video. This video just, sadly, puts an exclamation point on what he said and did on Raw. If he was the Final Boss character on Raw, this video wouldn’t be as big of a deal. A lot of people still wouldn’t like it. But what people are pissed about is that the heel Final Boss character now seems to be totally scrapped. “Boss of WWE feuding with top star” was literally the biggest storyline in the history of the WWE. It’s what made the Attitude Era. It was resurrected with the Final Boss Rock and Cody and it was the best shit Rock has done in decades. And now it’s obviously scrapped. That sucks.
