How many floods were there Joe? One in every place where there are fossils ?

One world wide flood is all you need... all the evidence points to that.

No he didn't. This is such a joke that I'd be surprised to hear that he isn't also a flat Earther. It's genuinely hilarious. @@GORF_EMPIRE

It's amazing how much you can prove by ignoring science and having an agenda. Just a small point, but I've found many belemnites that were all facing in completely different directions within the same piece if rock (Yes, in Norfolk). Another point is that chalk is sedimentary by nature... If it was a single flood then it wouldn't have been sedimentary, it would be solid. It would also not be made up of marine organisms (Which it is btw), it would be make up of mud, clay, trees, animals, rocks, minerals, organics... Your theory is so wrong that it is actually sort of laughable. It's interesting to watch an amateur talk about a subject that he doesn't full understand, but it's also important for you to let people know that you don't really know what you are talking about. The biggest joke about this creationist theory is that all of these creatures were once alive... If every one of the organisms/creatures that make up the entire chalk deposit were alive at the same time (large portions of the chalk bed 1km deep), then the entire globe would be completely covered in living organisms. This would be so thick that there would be no room to move, hunt or breed. This theory is hilarious tbh.

Can't tell if you are joking or not? I honestly can't eve be bothered to watch this again, it was so pathetic the first time. I can't even remember all of the 'facts' he was sharing. I just remember it being so far removed from the peer reviewed world of historical research and archeology that it was laughable. It's sad that we live in a world where people can have the most ridiculous ideas, with no education, and people will believe it based on their steadfast belief system. I don't even believe half of the stuff that I read, I research them further to find out f they are correct or not. This man has just made stuff up from the top of his narrow minded little brain. It's mad. @@derekporter66

Hmm... Interesting points. A few things to point out: 1) That's really cool! What kind of rock were the fossils buried in? I don't think Joe was trying to say that the fossil alignment was proof of rapid burial - the fact that they're fossilized at all is proof enough of that. I think the point was that since the squid fossils are streamlined like torpedos, their alignment suggests that they were transported together while the sediment was either soft or mostly liquid. That may help us understand how this burial took place. 2) Yes, today, chalk is sedimentary. It builds up very slowly, in the case of the White Cliffs of Dover, around 1-2 inches every thousand years. However, fossilization can't occur with such slow processes. The fact that chalk contains marine fossils demands catastrophism. You can't assume that the chalk was formed or deposited by the same slow processes as today. The evidence doesn't allow for that. 3) Your derogatory tone isn't helpful to the conversation. Joe is pretty experienced, he's smart, he does good science, and he has his own interpretation of evidence based on a model, like every other scientist on the planet. He's not unaware of opposite models or paradigms, he just doesn't agree with them. 4) Where did you get that information from? That sounds awfully similar to the "There Isn't Enough Water To Cover Mount Everest" argument, to which the answer is, "How do you know Mount Everest was there?" We don't know much, if anything, about the pre-flood environment. The sheer amount of marine fossils suggests that the antediluvian oceans were much more full of life than oceans today.

@@Pyr0Ben The only point I'm going to talk on, because I'm not engaging in conversation with young earth creationists, is that I agree... My tone is sharp and condescending. I have no time for being nice to people with such a clear lack of common sense. If this guy was merely below average intelligence then I would likely just ignore the video, but he seems to have a brain. So, he is willingly ignoring peer reviewed science. If he is correct then hundreds of thousands of peers reviewed papers, based on a science, are wrong. This is too dumb to start a conversation about, particularly with a creationist. They are honestly as bad as flat-earthers.

The antediluvian period... Before that, apparently, there was just Adam and Eve. Ergghhhhh... Speed of light? Dinosaurs? Star formation? Carbon dating? Are these all just god playing pranks?
