I got this amp for my son with q acoustic 3020. All in, less then $300. He’s in the Air Force and lives in a small dorm. Everybody’s amazed at the sound this little system produces.

RSL stuff is an amazing value, but what really stands out about them is their customer service, it's second to none. I was having trouble with my wireless transmitter and 10SII, when you call for tech support it's literally the owner of the company that helps you troubleshoot. Turned out the wireless part of the amp was acting up and I had a new amp on the way before I even got off the phone. They truly go above and beyond to help you in any way you might need them.

I made a 2.1 soundbar for my TV with this amp, these speakers, and a cheap Dayton low-profile sub (because it fits behind the TV on its base). Right now it's being fed by a Topping DX3 Pro+ (because of the remote and headphone jack). Sounds wonderful in my small room.

Glad to see attention given to RSL's actual systems and not just the Speedwoofers (which still deserve all of the praise that they garner). Top tier company with amazing, affordable products. Edit: SVS does sell an integrated amp, their Powerbase unit. It's a pretty nice package.

That is right they did just drop that recently. Wait till you see the Audiophile speakers they put out at CES.. Their directivity is nuts.

@@ZReviews looking forward to it! Also, in case you didn't know, RSL's larger speaker non-MTM speaker, the CG5, does have a magnetic steel grill. It was discontinued late last year for a refresh and should see a successor out sometime soon!

Love your video's. Like you play small bits of the sound of the speakers. Bought many from your recommendations and reviews. Your sound always sounds good from your old apartment to the new house. But for some reason the sound today sounds boxy. It could be the new camera or open area in the basement. Keep up the great reviews.

Based on this and reviews from others, I had decided to give these speakers a try, after all, RSL has a good return policy on these. Upon trying them out on my computer system, I simply replaced the satellite speakers on my Cambridge Soundworks, subsat system. I played a few of my standard test songs from Steely Dan. Right away, I had noticed this peak at roughly 350hz, making the speakers have a very boxy sound. The upper kids to highs were good and the imaging was much better than with the old speakers, but I had found I had to adjust the eq controls for 250hz and 500hz about 4db to mitigate the "bonk". Even with that correction, the peak was still noticeable. So, I flipped the speakers to put the tweeter on top, no change. I raised the speakers up to ear level.and the speakers got a bit brighter, but the bonk was still there. It did dawn on me that perhaps it might be the subsat amplifier and I had taken the speakers to a different room, with a totally different sound system and tried it out there using the same music, but on a CD. The peak was still there. Next, I had hooked up a pair of really old Realistic Minimus 7w speakers to my computer system and tried that out. They sounded thin in the 350hz range, but then I forgot I still had the eq set for the CG3m's. Flattening the eq controls bad to 0 and the Minimus 7s sounded fine. So after all this testing, the problem is with the RSL CG3m speakers. I just started the return process on these moments ago. I reported back here because I am curious if others had purchased this speaker and experienced the same issues I had with it.

They're obviously no longer being made but I would think the Emotiva B1+ would be a great pairing with the 10s. Based on everything I've heard and read I would love to get the 12s ( or two for that matter :) but my HT room is in my finished basement and I don't relish the thought of lugging that beast down (and eventually up) those stairs and also the stairs of our front porch. I'm going back and forth trying to decide if I should get two of 10s at the same time or get the 12s and a little later get the 10s. Someone online mentioned he has both in his system and it sounds fantastic. If I do eventually decide to get the 12s I'll be making a trip to Harbor Freight to get a decent hand truck to lug it around. Decisions, decisions.

@@ZReviews I love your work; I hope that goes without saying. I live in Cambodia where getting new stuff in-country and second-hand stuff shipped here from somewhere else are both iffy propositions, and I'm thinking about buying (an obviously used) Fiio X5 Gen iii DAP for about $150 USD. I'm writing you this because I'm worried it might be overkill: Shuttling back and forth between my two scavenged-parts systems, what I really need out of a DAP is digital audio out, and ... that's almost all, really. Shuffle-play, I suppose. So given that context, is the X5 a good move, or would you steer me in another direction. Sound quality is obviously important and I know people rave about the Fiio's sound, but you said that the sound on another DAP was almost as good for a lot less money -- the name was something like "Coronyn Ayundiyay" or something ridiculous like that. What do you think?
