The Role of Immunotherapy in Brain Cancer | Immunotherapy for Glioma and GBM | The DENVAX Clinics

In this video, we are sharing the clinical benefits of Immunotherapy in Glioma, a type of brain cancer. Gliomas are of 4 types, Grade IV being the most aggressive, infiltrative, and malignant form giving rise to low survival span and poor quality of life. The tumor also has the propensity to come back or show recurrence, even after complete removal by surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. The majority of patients show recurrence due to the non-penetrance of chemotherapy due to the presence of the blood-brain barrier as well as secondary mutations due to chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Either way, the patient's quality of life is severely impacted and the survival span is lowered.
