Prostitution is the oldest victimless crime in the United States. I lived in Nevada for a couple of years which is the only state where prostitution is legal, and there are brothels in most towns. I shot pool at a brothel, and talked to several of the girls that worked there. It's their choice, they set their own prices, and from what I can tell they enjoy their job. They tried like hell to make me a customer, but I guess I prefer to pay for it with drinks, meals, etc lol. All things considered it was a nice place to live. Why it's illegal everywhere else in the US I don't know. As far as I'm concerned criminalizing it just leads to women being victimized, and taken advantage of by pimps, and the criminal justice system.

Yea, I lived in US for 4 years, and in my native country prostitution is legal as well. I do know that you can’t really make it “pure”. It will always be embroiled or adjacent to illicit activities. One thing you can be certain of; it will exist whether you make it legal or not, and I do believe if you make it legal, you can optimize the condition for these women and open the gap for genuinely have the happy whore. Having it legal is like having just some agency in a chaotic environment. If you really want to support as a society, making it legal is the way, otherwise you just turn a blind eye to it, and then it will be way worse guaranteed. Also I’m a live and let live kind of guy, as long as you’re not violating anyone by doing so.

Remember the closest thing to slavery is human trafficking, because it is SLAVERY! The idea that modern prostitution is victimless is problematic. Many of these women are drug addicts, feeding their addiction, run by pimps, many who are violent, called gorilla pimps. Some may do this voluntary, but many don't. In today's world women are slowly being devalued. You can see this in women's sports. Where male transsexual's can show up, call themselves women and take part in women's events. The fact that the event's are for women, doesn't seem to stop these people and their politically correct fan club from ignoring women's rights!
