Hi, I’m curious if it is safe to take TRT if you have BPH. I’m a 47 year old male. My VA urologist thinks I should steer away from it. I just had my labs checked by a men’s clinic and my testosterone is low at 241. I have symptoms of fatigue no stamina and no sex drive at all right now. I feel I would benefit from being on it. My most recent PSA reading was 1.1 I do not want to do anything that would “fuel the fire” so to speak to grow my prostate even more. Thanks

If you think you are not producing enough testosterone it would be recommended, always worth bringing up to your doctor!

Of course, get your Testosterone baseline level tested and recorded. If your doctor doesn't want to test it, you can get it tested in Mexico for under ten dollars, no doctor requesition or consult required. I was coerced and deceived by the Cross Cancer Institute into ADT Eligard CASTRATION and I monitored my PSA AND T every month while on my annual winter vacation in Mexico

I think this testosterone theory causes cancer is specious. I am skipping the hormone therapy. 2 to 4 years of my life destroyed by being chemically castrated is not worth it,
