Now, it's 2021, 32 years later, and they're still going strong. Been watching some of their current tour dates and I'm amazed. Mick's, Keith's, and Ronnie's appearances have gotten older but they are still playing like it's 1989. RIP Charlie.

Wow! 46 looks young on Jagger! '89 was my graduation year, I remember all the hype for that tour. I have always liked Mick Jagger, his voice and annunciation of words when singing. Older songs were really good.

The older we get, the more we see that age is just a number. 1989 was my high school graduation as well. My mother is 84 and she didn't start declining in health until 81, and that's only because she didn't take care of herself. We have great examples in the Stones to keep active and to go get a tune up when needed like Mick just did.

I caught the Steel Wheels tour in Cincinnati and Indianapolis, and the Tattoo You tour in Chicago in 1981. The Tattoo You show was incredible. My first Stones concert and it did not disappoint. Flash forward 8 years and the Steel Wheels tour. They were even better. I caught the Cincinnati show early in the tour and the band was just tight and sounded incredible, same for the Indianapolis show. Back then, people thought the Stones were washed up. They definitely were not. Like a fine wine, it seems like the Stones got better with age. I've not caught any of their concerts since the Steel Wheels tour, but from what I've heard, they can still rock with the best of them. Long live the Rolling Stones!

I was fortunate to see the 81 tour. It was my first Stones show as well. Saw them again on Steel Wheels and again for Voodoo Lounge. Fantastic shows all three times but for me 81 was my favorite. Not necessarily because they were better but it was just an amazing night the night before and the day of the show. Plus I really loved the sax player who originally played on Waitin On A Friend which is a favorite of mine and just sounded so great that night

I remember back in 1981 when tattoo you was released I've gone to the record store to pick it up, I was 14 years old and a man it was probably in about as 50s saw what I had in my hands while I was in line and ask me if I was just getting into the stones. I told him that I had been a fan sense some girls back in 78 he kind of scoffed at me and said oh you go that far back. Hahaha! I remember when this first aired on 20/20 I wonder how many 14 year olds I just gotten into the stone then? 1989 seems like a lifetime ago. In a 1980 interview John Lennon said the amazing thing is not that the Beatles broke up, but that the stones didn't. Some people say they have a pact with the Devil, I guess we'll find out in 2060 when they're doing there one more go around the world tour! One more quote from Pete Townshend from his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction of the stones, don't grow old gracefully guys, it wouldn't suit you! Keep on rockin guys!

Comments from the vault. Now here we are, a few decades later, the band will celebrate their 60 anniversary next year and still touring. The comment " with every cigarette you smoke, you take one day of your life and give it to Keith Richards" has never been more relevant. If Keith goes, we all go. And Keith will be the one to turn off the light.

A joke I once heard: who would have thought back in the 1970s that John Denver would be dead and Keith Richards was still alive by now?

HERE IT IS 2022 AND THE BOYS HAVE BEEN GOING FOR 60 YRS COME JULY, I WONDER WHAT ALL THESE CRITICS WHO WERE COMMENTING AND QUESTIONING THEIR YOUTHFULNESS AND ENDURANCE WOULD HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THEM IN 2022, IF THEY ARE EVEN STILL ALIVE TO BE COMMENTED CAUSE THEY KEEP ON GOING AND GOING AND GOING AND GOING.
