Yes, Charlie actually drove the band. He didn’t care much about rock music, preferring jazz, but he was the most consummate professional who kept the band on track and added little percussion twists when you didn’t expect them.

I love Steve J in some spots. Look up Sympathy here at Jazzfest, he kills it. I would like a snappier snare and a little more reverence to Charlie, however I flipping love Steve
