Charlie Watts was never the most flashy drummer. He wasn't known for the frenzied solos of Cream's Ginger Baker, or for placing explosives in his kick drum like The Who's Keith Moon. Instead, he was the subtle, stoic heartbeat of The Rolling Stones for almost 60 years. We all Brazilian fans will miss Charlie. RIP 🇧🇷

Some of the best fun with performing arts is had out ofthe public gaze, just mucking around, jamming etc, like this, in old clothes in some shed or garage or back room etc. Watchingdancers doing this type of thing is great, too, intheir raggy old clothes, unwashed, hair a mess, all sweaty... Ballerinas carrying on like this, just warming up, going through the moves, cigarette hangingout of their mouth as they do impossible stretches, splits etc, taking a few munches from a chocolate bar, to keep the energy up... Some even wearing their favourite football team's guernsy andlong sox and shorts... But, despite the appalling attire and greasy dirtyhair, sweatdripping off them, etc, they still look so passionate and sexy, artistically...Ioften saw painters or photographers asking the studio operator for permissionto sketch or photograph them in this very natural state. Theycouldn't understand why visual artists wanted to draw or photograph them like tis, rather than on stage, all polished up, in their fine stage costumes etc.
