Man made change happened. I started keeping the Sabbath and it's very biblical to do that

@@TimeIsNow4Jesus nobody changed the day, Sabbath remained so and Sunday became Christians most important day and you can see that in the acts of the apostles or even revelation. The problem SDA has is lying just like Islam but in this day where information is available online it makes SDA looks very bad. You can’t lie in the name of God. It is a sin and a very bad one.

@johnosumba1980 the Sabbath remains because it's God's commandments, Sunday was added by men. The Bible doesn't specifically mention that we should keep the Sunday holy. Christians met on Sunday but it was not sanctified as a holy day by God. I'm not SDA, I just read the Bible and drew my own conclusion based on the word of god.

@The Bible does, we are Christians and are under new covenant hence must keep the day we were rescue from the bondage of the sin of Adam, but SDA can continue with Mosaic law since they are not Christians, two question that you need to answer is which day did Jesus appear after his death and resurrection that is recorded in the Bible? And what were the people doing when he appeared to them? We are a new creation and not the first not unless you are not baptized “ born again” so you can continue with mosaic law, Jesus talked about those laws that he has fulfilled them and the new law was to be written in the hearts of men. Paul talked about not to judge others on keeping sabbath or the new moon, May be you have never read those, it is only pride that makes people think they know better than the apostles or the early Church fathers. I am sure you don’t know that there are writings from the Church fathers “ the disciples of Jesus disciples” as early as 107AD, if you leave the writings of people like Clement of Rome who is mentioned in the Bible and was the third Pope. I challenge you to google and find out from when Christians started observing Sunday and why Sunday is more important to Christians than the Old Testament Sabbath and please paste your answer here, I know SDA have been lied to that it was changed by Constantine who was not even a Christian from the beginning only converted after realizing the majority of his subjects are Christians.

@ otherwise Jesus never gave us the Bible, it is the Church that He left that gave us the Bible. Therefore authority comes from the Church and that is why the Bible point you to the Church as the pillar and foundation of the truth.

@@johnosumba1980 you're probably Catholic, I can tell by the way you write. No where in the Bible does it say we should add or remove from the word of God. Men added their own traditions, religious leaders did, and those same religious leaders killed Jesus Christ. Go figure.

So are you saying that Catholics are the true Christians?
@justthink89528 күн бұрын
@@CJILMinistriesprotruth If you consider the New testament Bible to be scripture then yes. It was the Roman Catholic Church who canonised the 27 books of NT as scripture even though no books claimed itself as scripture except the book of Revelation. Even the authors did not claim their writings to be scripture. Paul wrote most of the books but he didn't even claim a single book to be scripture. It was based on the manmade Catholic tradition that these books are treated as scripture. If anyone believed the Bible to be a true account of what had happened actually then, Roman Catholics or Orthodox must becthe true Christians. Protestants are definitely not true Christians because their history started 1500 years late.

@mitchellosmer1293 Judaizers are those folowers of Christ who tried to follow Judaism (the OT Laws) at the same time. OT is just a fore shadow of the NT. No man puts new wine in old wineskin. Christians are not bound by the OT. New high priest, new laws, new practices.

@ Yes nobody replaced the Sabbath, it remained the same but it is not binding to Christianity and the new covenant. the question is what makes you think you are right and others are wrong? And are you saying early Church was wrong? According to you what did Paul mean? And what makes you think you have the right interpretation and not that Church that Jesus established and promised to be with till end of time? Who do you trust an individual or Jesus Christ’s own word? You are saying for the first over 1800 years the Church was wrong until Ellen white came into the picture?

@johnosumba1980 So are you telling me the other 9 commandments are no longer binding? Then why are people in prisons. My Bible tells me in the epistle of James that whosoever breaks one is guilty of all. Moreover, the commandments were written by the finger of God and not Moses, and placed inside the ark of the covenant. Do you know why? The ceremonial laws were written by Moses and they were placed in the side of the ark. Do you know why? Yes, they were wrong! What is the new covenant? Provide Scripture that tells us the Sabbath is no longer binding.

quote---the early Christians changed the Sabbath to Jesus...the true Sabbath...un quote book, chapter and verse!!!! The Bible verse "If you love me, keep my commandments" appears in John 14:15: King James Version: "If ye love me, keep my commandments" English Standard Version: "If you love me, you will keep my commandments" Good News Translation: "If you love me, you will obey my commandments" Jesus Christ repeated this phrase five times in a discourse: "If you love Me, keep My commandments" (John 14:15) "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is He who loves Me" (John 14:21) "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word" (John 14:23) Some say that obedience to God's commandments is an expression of love for Him, and that His commandments are a manifestation of His love for us. >>>> Constantine’s Edict: - In 321 AD, Emperor Constantine issued an edict making Sunday a day of rest from labor, aligning with the established Roman practice and facilitating the transition to Christian observance. This move was part of a broader effort to merge Christian practices with prevailing cultural norms, which is basically paganism. Conclusion The New Testament does not provide a direct command or indication to replace the Sabbath with Sunday. Gentile converts to Christianity maintained Sabbath observance (Acts 13:42 and 44), reflecting its ongoing significance. The emphasis on Sunday as a day of worship developed through tradition and theological reflection, diverging from the original Sabbath observance as established by Jesus and the apostles. The association of Sunday worship with pagan sun worship reflects historical developments where post-apostolic Christians adapted cultural practices to their new religious context with in the Roman Empire. While the Christian observance of Sunday ultimately became centered on the resurrection of Jesus, its timing and some associated practices were influenced by pre-existing Roman traditions dedicated to the sun as a god.

Let me explain why sunday. The sabbath is on friday Jesus died on friday and on the 3rd day he rose again.. this is the resurrection The resurrection shows Jesus's conquest over death. Without the resurrection, there would be NO Christianity. Friday, saturday and sunday are 3 days.(3rd day) That is why Sunday is the important day to focus on Jesus.
@CJILMinistriesprotruth11 күн бұрын
What chapter and verse/s of the Bible back this theory,?
@georgekustner344011 күн бұрын
@CJILMinistriesprotruth nowhere in the bible does it talk about the names of the days of the week except the word sabbath. The names of the weeks come from old civilizations. Sunday is derived from the sun Monday the moon The rest of the days are from the Norsk mythology Ie. Thursday comes from the God Thor. Friday derived from Venus. In Norsk that is Frigg. In old english that is frigedaeg. So you see sabbath can be any day. Thank the Babylonians for the sequence of the days of the week.

@@georgekustner3440 The order of the days have never been changed from creation. Sabbath which is the sacred name of the seventh day has always been the seventh day. I am also fully aware and knowledgeable as to how each of the other six days got their names.
@georgekustner344010 күн бұрын
@CJILMinistriesprotruth maybe I was not clear. The names of the days were created way after the Genesis were written. The bible does not say the name of the day the sabbath falls on. Therefore, you cannot say the sabbath starts at sunset on Friday biblically.
@CJILMinistriesprotruth10 күн бұрын
@georgekustner3440 Exodus 20:8-11 tells us the Sabbath is the seventh day. Also Genesis 2:1-3 tells us God after creating the heavens and the earth rested on the seventh day, blessed and sanctified it. Please check the meaning of sanctified. The Bible in Genesis 1 says " the evening and the morning were the first day..." Thus a day does not begin at 12 am, but rather at sunset.
